partners and become a category naming rights sponsor of the 2015 Regional Achievement and
Community Awards. Category naming rights sponsorship means your business name will
become part of your category award name on printing and in the media i.e. whenever the Award
you choose is mentioned or promoted.
The aims and objectives of the Awards are to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable
contribution individuals, group, communities and businesses are making throughout regional and
rural Victoria.
Our marketing and promotional campaign utilises all areas of the media, direct mail, Government,
corporate and community participation. Therefore as a category naming rights sponsor, your
business can be assured that through your association with the Regional Achievement and
Community Awards program your involvement will receive major positive state-wide coverage
through all forms of the mass media and in the wider community.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The purpose of the Regional Achievement & Community Awards is to encourage, recognise,
acknowledge and reward the valuable contribution individuals, communities and businesses are
making throughout regional and rural Victoria.
The aim of the awards is to:
Encourage greater individuals, organisations, tourism groups, businesses and community
involvement in large and small regional and rural communities.
Recognise as role models the significant contribution individuals, businesses,
organisations and communities are making throughout regional and rural areas of Victoria.
Acknowledge the valuable contributions that individuals, businesses, organisations and
communities are achieving throughout regional and rural Victoria.
Reward the valuable contributions that individuals, businesses, organisations and
communities are making throughout regional and rural Victoria.
Promote sponsors and presenters as responsible corporate citizens helping to build
communities throughout regional Victoria.

As a category naming rights sponsor you will have the option to work with us to create your own category if you feel there is a more appropriately aligned category for your philosophy and mission. We will also assist you to create a category description and judging criteria helping shape the nominations received for your category. OPERATIONS AND EVENTS
LAUNCH
The Program will commence with state regional media launches to be held in May 2015 at
locations selected by the Awards Office and agreed upon by the sponsors.
These events will be public functions attended by groups and organisations associated with rural
and regional Victoria. The focus of the launches will be to secure community interest.
Your business will receive exposure through your involvement in the launch process and you will
be invited to supply a guest list of those you, as a sponsor, would like to attend.
Your business will be invited to provide a guest speaker for each launch to outline your
involvement and commitment to the Awards Program and the people of regional Victoria.
Members of Parliament, Mayors, VIP’s and assorted business and community leaders will attend
the launches. Your business’s local and regional managers will be invited as VIP guests and will
be involved with the launches of the Program.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
A 12 week call for nominations period will commence from the launches in May 2015.
The Awards Manager will undertake an extensive mail and email out during the nomination period,
involving businesses, groups, youth organisations, educational and other institutions, Government
departments, category related organisations and sponsors branches etc.
Extensive exposure of the Regional Achievement and Community Awards is achieved through
30 second television commercials acknowledging sponsors involvement, which are aired by
PRIME7 Television throughout regional Victoria.
This is supported by a nomination enquiry coupon/ad and editorials each week in The Weekly
Times (and other local supporting newspapers) and radio coverage on supporting stations
throughout the state.

JUDGING OF NOMINATIONS
A judging panel will be formed to select the category winners for each of the Award recipients in
September 2015. The judging panel will comprise of:
Representative from your business
Representatives from other sponsors involved in the Program.
Selected community leaders experienced in rural and regional issues.
One expert/head judge for each category will also be appointed.

GALA AWARDS PRESENTATION
The Regional Achievement and Community Awards recipients will be announced at a special
Gala Awards Presentation in October 2015 to acknowledge the finalists and announce the
winners.
The Gala Awards Presentation will be a formal dinner attended by approximately 350 people and
VIP guests. A senior executive from your business will be invited to make a speech and present
your finalists and announce your category winner. Ten complimentary tickets to the event will be
available as part of your sponsorship.
Category sponsor branded profiles are produced by PRIME7 for each of the finalists and will be
shown on screen at the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner.
The Weekly Times will promote the Awards with coverage about the finalists in the lead up to the
Awards Presentation Dinner and afterwards with winners’ editorials.
PRIME7 will produce a ‘congratulations to winners’ ad’ which will be aired after the Awards
Presentation Dinner for four plus weeks. Your company will feature in the TV ad.
The Awards Gala Presentation Dinner will promote the sponsorship contribution and commitment
of your company and the other category naming right sponsors, and profile the community
contribution made by our outstanding regional Victorians. The essence of the promotion is to
encourage, recognise and promote regional Victoria’s most vital assets – its people – and instil a
united sense of pride in our communities.

PRIZES
At the culmination of the Program, the winners of the Awards will be presented with a
magnificent trophy and the following prizes.
The winner of two categories will receive a television airtime package comprising of 20 x 30
second airtime commercials on PRIME7. The remaining category winners will receive $2,000 from
The Bank of Melbourne.
All nominees, semi- finalists and finalists will receive a letter of congratulations and a certificate
of encouragement for their nomination.
MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS
EXPOSURE
The Regional Achievement and Community Awards will have a broad reach and exposure to all
sections of regional Victoria.
Sponsors and media organisations involved with the Awards Programs will find significant
opportunities for exposure with:

General public, through significant mass media exposure

TELEVISION
PRIME7 Television will run a significant schedule of promotional advertisements from the
launches in May 2015 through to the close of nominations in July/August 2015. These ads will
feature your business.
PRIME7 Television will provide personalities to host the launches in regional centres and the Gala
Awards Presentation.
PRIME7 Television will provide regular updates throughout the nomination phase through their
news department.
PRIME7 Television will produce and run a 30 second winners’ congratulations ad, acknowledging
the category winners immediately following the Awards announcements for a 4 week duration.
These ads will feature your business.
PRESS
The Weekly Times will run regular nomination enquiry ad/coupons and editorials, calling for
nominations during the nomination period. All display advertisements will feature your business.
Additionally regular editorial’s featuring nominees and other interesting stories associated with the
Awards Program are also promoted regularly from April until the end of October in The Weekly
Times and supporting local newspapers.
Further press involvement will include local specialist magazines, business and category related
journals.
All regional newspapers will also receive the opportunity to promote the Awards Program and their
local involvement, through a nomination enquiry ad/coupon to be provided to their newspaper and
in return they may display their own corporate logos as supporters of the Program.

RADIO
A Community Service Announcement will be produced and made available to each supporting
radio station throughout the state allowing a three second tag, acknowledging their local
involvement. Radio interviews will also be sought to promote the call for nominations.
The Awards will be promoted using the following:

News items of interest.

PRINTED LITERATURE AND DIRECT MAIL
The Regional Achievement and Community Awards will be heavily promoted through direct
mail and email to organisations and associations involved in the regional and rural sector
throughout Victoria. As a category naming rights sponsors of the program, your business will
feature prominently on all printed and advertising literature.
State and Local Government Associations and commercial organisations will be encouraged to
become involved in the Awards Program. This section of the community will be involved in the
Program through receiving invitations to the launches, calls for nominations and attending the
Gala Awards Presentation.

PUBLIC RELATIONS
Each program element will be supported by a comprehensive public relations campaign. Your
business will continually be featured throughout the public relations campaign. Posters and
nomination brochures will be distributed through all your business offices and other sponsors’
offices.
Media releases cover all stages of the Awards campaign as follows:

Regular stories on nominees and their regions
Closing of nominations
Announcements of the semi finalists
Announcements of the finalists
Announcements of the winners
The public relations campaign will cover all mass media; in particular the television stations,
newspapers, business, tourism groups and radio stations involved as partners in the Awards.
WEBSITE
The website will offer a fully interactive service, which illustrates detailed information about the
Regional Achievement and Community Awards. This site will explain the eligibility criteria with
full instructions on how to nominate, and the process of the nominations. Your company will
feature as a category naming rights sponsor of the Awards, and have links available back to your
own website.

SOCIAL MEDIA
We regularly promote and are heavily involved in the use of social media for the Awards, including
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Bringing awareness to the Awards is implemented by regular updates through the various phases
of the awards, sharing and promoting our sponsors’ posts and pages or websites, endorsing and
encouraging all our nominees and those involved in the Awards. Through these Social Media
avenues we aim to spread the awareness of the awards, receive more nominations and increase
promotion of all our supporting sponsors.

SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL
PROPOSAL
It is with great pleasure that we invite your company to become a category naming rights sponsor
of the 2015 Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
The cost for category naming rights sponsorship for 2015 is $15,950 plus GST
A 3 year sponsorship option agreement is available and would attract a 5% discount off the annual
sponsorship amounts (fixed price for three years).
The following sponsorship payment terms are available:
Payments may be made in two equal instalments in May 2015 and August 2015
Or one payment in May 2015, or one payment in August 2015
Alternatively please contact the Awards office to make other arrangements
Your category will be promoted and recognised at all times as:
Company Name Category Selected Award
Your sponsorship contribution will go towards promoting your category and facilitating a high
quality Awards program directly targeting high achievers and community contributors throughout
regional Victoria whilst increasing state pride.
At the conclusion of the 2015 program, you will be given first rights to continue the sponsorship
agreement in 2016.
Sponsorship payment options are available with one payment or two equal instalments in this or
next financial year (or split). If you wish to discuss alternative arrangements please contact the

If your budget will not allow $15,950 plus GST, you may wish to consider the following two
alternate options:
Silver Support Sponsorship - $3,500 plus GST
Bronze Gala Presentation Dinner Support Sponsorship - $750 plus GST

The value of sponsorship is conservatively estimated as follows:

SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS
Your company will receive the following benefits in return for your category naming rights
sponsorship within the Regional Achievement and Community Awards:
1. Significant television promotional ads will be screened on PRIME7 from the Launch in April
until the close of nominations in July 2015. Your company will feature in all ads.
2. Your company will receive quality exposure in the calling for nominations advertisements
and editorials featured regularly in The Weekly Times and in other supporting newspapers,
magazines and newsletters throughout regional Victoria from the commencement of the
program in April 2015 until July 2015.
3. The Awards Coordinator will work with your representatives to maximise exposure for your
company throughout regional Victoria.
4. Your company will feature in the launch of the Awards.
5. Your company will be featured in 6,000 e-flyers distributed to leading businesses,
community organisations, service clubs, media outlets, schools, universities, libraries,
councils, Members of Parliament.
6. Your company will be featured in 5,000 nomination information brochures which are
distributed to other businesses, community organisations, service clubs, media outlets,
schools, universities, libraries, councils, Members of Parliament, and sponsor outlets
throughout regional Victoria. e 14
7. Your company will be featured in 1,500 colour posters which will be displayed and available
throughout business houses, media outlets, schools, universities, libraries, councils,
Members of Parliament and sponsor outlets.

8. 1,000 invitations featuring you will be distributed to leading business houses, media and
category-related organisations promoting the launches and the Awards Gala Presentation
Dinner. Additionally 500 acceptance cards, place cards and printed Programs for the
Presentation Dinner are produced, again featuring your involvement.
9. 300 certificates featuring your logo will be printed and presented, personally where
possible, to all nominees of the Program and including finalists and winners.
10. Your company will receive an End-of-Program Report summarising all promotional and
media activity for each stage of the Program (including copies of media clippings and a
DVD copy of the ads featured on PRIME7).
11. Your company will be mentioned in media releases and media interviews where possible.
12. You will be invited to have a senior representative on the Judging Panel where the three
finalists for your category and the winner are selected.
13. Your senior executive will be invited to make a speech and present your three category
finalists and announce your winner at the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner.
14. Ten Complimentary tickets will be available for your company’s representatives to attend
the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner.
15. A quality silk banner featuring your logo will be produced and strategically displayed at the
Awards Gala Presentation Dinner.
16. Your company will feature in the 30 second congratulations ad produced by PRIME7 to
promote the winners of each Award to run for four weeks after the Awards Presentation.
