Sports Day 2016 Welcome to the Sports Day Newsletter. What a fantastic afternoon the children had on 17 th June at the Millennium Arena for their annual Sports Day. How lucky we were with the weather too! The Lower and Upper School children were able to compete with great skill and determination in field events ranging from vortex to javelin and track events including the hurdles and 400m. All the children tried their hardest and there were some outstanding performances from all age groups. It was lovely to see the children being competitive and determined but also showing great encouragement and sportsmanship towards each other throughout the afternoon. Thank you to FoCH for providing the House t-shirts and the fantastic caps which the children wore with great pride. Also, thank you so much to FoCH for providing refreshments and for all the parents who came to support the children at the event. It was fantastic to see so many parents supporting the children in all the different activities. Congratulations to Carlyle House on winning the Sports Day Cup but congratulations to all the children in all Houses for participating in what was I hope a very enjoyable afternoon. Here is a review of the day. I hope you enjoy looking at the photographs and hope it brings back happy memories of a fun afternoon!
