to exercise regularly and use a device to monitor their performance. Members of the 16 to 24 age group are those most likely to compete with each other and compare performances using an online activity-monitoring service.
• It has been found that patients on Supervised ExerciseDiet and Stress programs cost the healthcare provider$18,119 per year, as opposed to $47,647 for conventional care.
FITNESS & EXERCISE
• Less than 1% of the £1.6 million spent each year onchronic heart disease goes towards prevention.
• Females are less likely to exercise and more inclined to diet.
