Spotinst is a Cloud Cost Optimization Solution focused on the idea that cost can be continuously and dynamically optimized in public clouds.

Historical and current market data is used together with advanced analytics and proprietary algorithms to create “intelligent” bids for Spot Instances. The solution can predict a potential disruption event more than 10 minutes before it occurs.

In the event that a Spot instance is predicted to be interrupted and there are no additional Spot instances available in the market, Spotinst can designate a workload to fall back to On-Demand or Reserved Instances, ensuring availability and reliability.

Any stateless application running in a clustered configuration can be managed by Spotinst and take advantage of the potential savings available in the Spot Market.

Current configurations can be directly imported from the ASG, created within the console using the wizard or API, and can be managed leveraging tools such as Cloud Formation or Terraform as alternatives to the Console.

Workloads requiring Data Persistence can take advantage of the potential Spot cost savings via automated server snapshots.
