From the Book Panel - Multi (A):• Fussy cut (12) 8 ½” book panels.
From the Folio - Red Hot (B), cut:• (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (24) 2 ½” x 8 ½” strips.• (8) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (24) 2 ½” x 12 ½” strips.
From the Paws - Blue (C), cut:• (1) 10 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (12) 3 ½” x 10 ½” strips.• (1) 16 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (12) 3 ½” x 16 ½” strips.
From the Stripe - Multi (D), cut:• (1) 12 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (16) 1 ½” x 12 ½” strips.• (5) 1 ½” x 40 ½” WOF strips.
From the Polka Dot - Multi (E), cut:• (1) 10 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (12) 3 ½” x 10 ½” strips.• (1) 16 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (12) 3 ½” x 16 ½” strips.
From the Tossed Dogs - Blue (F), cut:• (3) 6 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end to end with diagonal seams, and cut (2) 6 ½” x 53 ½” strips.• (2) 6 ½” x 40 ½” WOF strips.
From the Polka Dot - Black (G), cut:• (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (4) 6 ½” squares.
From the Paws - Green (H), cut:• (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.
From the Polka Dot - Blue (Backing), cut:• (2) 60” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 60” x 73” back.
Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 8 ½” Fabric A book panel. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A book panel. Trim the block to measure 10 ½” square to make (1) Block center (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (12) Block centers total.

2. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric C strip to each side of (1) Block center. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 16 ½” Fabric C strip to the top and to the bottom of the Block center to make (1) Block One (Fig. 2). Repeat to make (6) Block Ones total.

3. Tilt the Block One to the right. Use a ruler to square the edges as shown in Figure 3 to make a 12 ½” square Block One. Repeat to make (6) Block Ones total.

4. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric E strip to each side of (1) Block center. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 16 ½” Fabric E strip to the top and to the bottom of the Block to make (1) Block Two (Fig. 4). Repeat to make (6) Block Twos total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)6. Sew (4) 1 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric D strips, (2) Block Ones and (1) Block Two together to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Three.
5. Tilt the Block Two to the left. Use a ruler to square the edges as shown in Figure 5 to make a 12 ½” square Block Two. Repeat to make (6) Block Twos total.

7. Sew (4) 1 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric D strips, (2) Block Twos and (1) Block One together to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Four.
8. Sew (5) 1 ½” x 40 ½” Fabric D strips and the four rows, in numerical order, together, alternating them, to make the quilt top.
9. Sew (1) 6 ½” x 53 ½” Fabric F strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 6 ½” Fabric G square to each end of (1) 6 ½” x 40 ½” Fabric F strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top.
10. Layer and quilt as desired.
11. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric H strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.
12. Bind as desired.
