Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) controls nearly all ofthe machinery in any industry today. The troubleshooting skillsrequired for programmable controllers are different than theskills required for general electrical work. Learners are introduced to the performance cycle and connectthe need to set effective expectations with achieving theorganization's goals and strategies. Leaders share challengesthat they have faced in setting expectations discussions. Avideo demonstrates what can go wrong when discussingexpectations. Leaders learn the purpose of setting expectationsdiscussions: achieving understanding, alignment andagreement. Learners discuss the importance of clearexpectations and review the criteria for SMART objectives.Participants review the use of Interaction Process skills toconduct setting expectations discussions. What is the refund policy for professional

development programs?

If a professional development program is canceled by theMedina County University Center, a full refund will beissued. Withdrawal requests received up to three businessdays prior to the first class meeting will result in a fullrefund, less a $15 processing charge, or an opportunityto transfer to another course. No refunds are issuedafter the start of the class.

Refunds for professional development programs aredetermined by the date the withdrawal request is received.

What if my course is canceled?

In the event of a course cancellation or change, you willbe notified by phone or mail. Transfers to other coursesmay be available.

The Medina County University Center reserves the rightto change instructors and to cancel or reschedule aprogram in the event of insufficient enrollment orunforeseen circumstances. Information in the catalogshould not be considered a contract between studentsand the Medina County University Center.

Do you send a confirmation of my registration?

All registrations will be confirmed upon receipt ofpayment. Confirmation will include a map and credit card receipt, where applicable. If you have not receivedconfirmation three days prior to your class, please callus at 330-721-2210.

What is a CEU?

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) provide a measurablerecord of course participation in professional developmentprograms. Each CEU is equivalent to 10 class hours (10hours = 1.0 CEU) and is expressed to the nearest tenth.This unit of measurement has been adopted nationwide bycontinuing education programs. There is no additionalcharge for CEUs.

Will I receive a grade?

You will receive a certificate of completion if you attend75 percent of the program and complete all programrequirements. No grades are given. Your permanent CEUrecord is maintained by our office. A transcript isavailable for a fee of $4.
