FACTS

Last year, our class contributed $4,773.00. 51% (284 classmates) of the class contributed.

GOALS

Our goal for 2011 is to reach a 50% or more level of participation. To date, 25 members of the class have contributed. (4 of them are new donors!) There are 262 members who contributed last year and have not yet given for the fiscal year 2011. Please try your best to participate. We as a class can keep our legacy strong. Even a small gift helps us to reach our FY ’11 goal for participation!

Dunkin’ Donuts Opens on Campus

A Dunkin’ Donuts opened on campus this fall in

Charlie’s Café in the Hagan Campus Center.

The franchise is owned by alumni Matt &

Christine Batista Doyle ’98 and offers much of

the brand’s standard fare – coffee, doughnuts

and bagels – as well as breakfast sandwiches. It

has been well received.

Assumption Pride

During a recent reception held in Worcester for Assumption alumni, parents and friends, President Cesareo spoke of the meaningful impact that a gift of any size has on participation. He drove home the point that a $25 gift has the same weight on participation as a $250 gift. Collectively, all gifts have a profound impact on providing students with scholarships and academic and spiritual programs.

Assumption College ranks #36 in U.S.

News & World Report’s 2011 Best

Colleges ratings of colleges and

universities in the Northeast.

The recently published Princeton

Review: 2011 Best Colleges: Region by

Region ranks Assumption as one of the

best colleges in the Northeast.

The most recent Barron’s Best Buys in College Education places Assumption College among 230 accredited four-year colleges nationwide that offer “a first-rate education at a reasonable price,” calling them “outstanding schools where costs are lower than average.” Also highlighted was the Assumption faculty’s devotion to helping students achieve their goals. Assumption was invited to appear again in the Colleges of Distinction, 2010 edition, published by Student Horizons, Inc. Colleges of Distinction includes schools that have a “proven record” in four key areas – engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes.
