Hey Seniors! Did you know that there is a FREE lunch just for you offered every Wednesday? It is at First Presbyterian Church, located at 9th and Rankin (across from Central Middle School). We have been Have you felt it? Are you feeling it? I hope so, because we have just celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior  Jesus Christ, and we are entering a new year standing on the promises of God! They are promises of hope and peace! They are promises lled with love and joy! And they are promises made to each of us – the promise to never leave us nor forsake us, the promise to forgive our failures and shortcomings, and the promise to love each of us unconditionally. These are p romises worth celebrat ing! Not just at Christmas, or Easter, but every day of the year! That’s why we come to gether on Sunday mornings to worship. That’s why we gather on Wednesday nights to fellowship and study. That’s why we reach out in service to our neighbor. In all these things we are celebrating the promises of God! Mark and I are excited for the New Year, and we hope you are too! 2012 is going to be lled with many opportunities to celebrate! From service projects to fellowship dinners. From dodgeball tournaments to student led worship. From retreats to mission trips! It’s all a celebration! And we want yo u to celebrate with us! Come, stand on the promises of God with us as we celebrate life, life abundant, and life everlasting! If you have a family of 4 or more participating in Unite (whether children, youth, or adult participants) you can pay a family price of $180.00 for the semester. School is back in session, which means FREE pizza for our High School Students! Each Thursday we will be at a school hoping to have lunch with you! Hey Seniors! Did you know that there is a FREE 

lunch just for you offered every Wednesday? It is at

First Presbyterian Church, located at 9th and Rankin

(across from Central Middle School). We have been

asked to spread the word to our students about this

opportunity, so here is your invitation!

Have you felt it? Are you feeling it? I hope so, because

we have just celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior

 Jesus Christ, and we are entering a new year standingon the promises of God! They are promises of hope and

peace! They are promises lled with love and joy! And they

are promises made to each of us – the promise to never

 Join us every Wednesday night for dinner, worship, and

bible study! This semester we will continue our “Worship

 January EventsSunday, January 8: BUNKO! This is ourkick-off event for 2012 and it is a family event– so bring everyone! Also bring a party snackto share. We will meet in the Fellowship Hallfrom 4:30-6:30 p.m. for fun and fellowship. Wewill also discuss our youth activities for thespring semester and share information aboutour summer mission trips!

Wednesday, January 11: Unite Begins!

Sunday, January 15: 2nd Sunday  This semester we are continuingour “2nd Sunday” ministry.” It will take place each month on the2nd Sunday, and will include lunch, activities, and faith buildingconversations. It will be a great opportunity for you to not only get afree lunch, but also build strong relationships with one another whilewalking the faith journey together! Time is from 12:15 – 1:45 p.m. inthe Family Life Center. However, because of our schedule, there are

a few times when “2nd Sunday” will actually be on the “3rd Sunday.”This is one of those occasions! Just watch your calendar!

Sunday, January 22:  International Affairs Seminar Bean Dinner Come join us in the Fellowship Hall anytime between 10:00 a.m.and 1:00 p.m. and enjoy some great beans, slaw, and cornbread. Alldonations help support our students that will be attending the 2012I.A.S. trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City! Students attendingare Josh Biby, Trevor Gibson, Allyson Cain, and Hallie Ball.

Fingerprints! Called to be the hands of Christ in the world, weleave our ngerprints of love as we reach out to our neighborthrough service. Today we will be making valentine decorations forthe residents of Bradford Village. These decorations will remind themof God’s love in their lives, and the love we have for them as ourbrothers and sisters in Christ. We will meet in the FLC - 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Sunday, January 29: Glow Games! Since glow in the darkvolleyball was such a huge success last semester, we have planned anentire evening of Glow Games! Don’t be left in the dark! Come joinus from 4:30-6:30 p.m. as we light the place up with some fun andchallenging games!

Big Weekend Registration Deadline!

February EventsSunday, February 5:  Super Bowl Subs! Today is our Super BowlSub Sandwich sale! All hands on deck to help us make sandwichesbeginning at 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 1 p.m.

Then come back at 5:30 p.m. for our own celebration in the FLC andYouth Room! Bring a party snack to share. We will conclude whenthe game is over, and you can get picked up earlier if needed.

Sunday, February 12: 2nd Sunday  It’s another 2nd Sunday from12:15 – 1:45 p.m. Come join us for lunch, activities, and faith buildingconversations in the Family Life Center.

Friday February 17-Sunday, February 19:  Big Weekend 2012!Big Weekend is packed with great music, challenging messages,and opportunities for students who are in 6 - 12 grades allover Edmond and the Oklahoma City area to put their faithin action. But what is the purpose of Big Weekend? It’s morethan the band, more than the speaker, more than the timehanging out with your friends. It’s about the cross. Join us foran awesome weekend where we gather with students from alldenominations and get back to the basics. We’ll have awesomemessages and music that lead us to worshiping God as one.Cost is $30 per person. Go to www.fccedmond.org/bigweekend for more information and to register by Sunday, January 29.

Rocktown Registration Deadline!

Sunday, February 26:  RocktownClimbing Gym! Formerly OKC Rocks.Come spend the day doing some rockclimbing. Cost is $15.00 per person.We will meet at the church at 12:30p.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. Registerat www.fccedmond.org/rocktown bySunday, Feburary 19.

Wednesday, Feb. 29: Dodgeball Tournament Registration Deadline!

March EventsSunday, March 4: World Vision DodgeballTournament! Register your team and helpus raise money for our World Vision ChildSponsorship. Cost is $5 per person, and youcan have a team of 6-8 players, or you canregister as an individual and be placed on ateam. This will be a round robin tournament,and will be held in the FLC from 1-5 p.m.Register at www.fccedmond.org/dodgeball byWednesday, February 29.

Sunday, March 11: 2nd Sunday It’s 2nd Sunday! Join us in theFLC from 12:15-1:45 p.m. for food, fun, and fellowship!

Sunday, March 25: Fingerprints! Calledto be the hands of Christ in the world,we leave our ngerprints of love aswe reach out to our neighbor through

service. Today we will be serving at theOklahoma City Rescue Mission. Meetat the church at 3:30 p.m. and we willreturn by 6:30 p.m.

 April EventsSunday, April 1:  Just Foolin’ Around!You don’t want to miss this fun andlively evening with silly games and acrazy dinner planned! Come dressed inyour silliest clothes/costume. The timeis from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday, April 13-14: Baptism Retreat If you have not been baptized but wouldlike to be, we are planning a retreat that will prepare you forbaptism. We will be sending out more information on thisevent in the mail, so watch for it. Baptism will take place onYouth Sunday, May 6, in our Sanctuary. Sunday, April 15:  2nd Sunday It’s 2nd Sunday (on the 3rdSunday again!) Join us in the FLC from 12:15-1:45 p.m. for food,fun, and fellowship!

Sundays, April 22 and 29: Youth Sunday Rehearsal Our YouthSunday Rehearsal is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Come and help us

prepare for our Youth Sunday worship that will be held onSunday, May 6. All youth are highly encouraged to be a part of this wonderful worship experience.

May EventsWednesday, May 2: Senior CelebrationNight & Small Group Parties! For ourlast UNITE of the Spring semester, allstudents will meet in the Chapel at 6:00to celebrate our seniors, and then all willbe dismissed at 6:30 for their small groupparties. Seniors will stay for the SeniorDinner.

Sunday, May 6: Youth Sunday The Youth will lead both the9:00 and 11:00 Sunday services.

Saturday, May 12:  Annual Garage Sale! This is our annual youth garage salewhich benets the summer mission tripsand all other youth activites. We will startcollecting items the week prior to thesale. More information will be sent outcloser to this date but in the meantime -be on the lookout for items to save!

Sunday, May 20: 2nd Sunday It’s 2nd Sunday (on the 3rdSunday once again!) Join us in the FLC from 12:15-1:45 p.m. forfood, fun, and fellowship!
