PANSHORADAM® Aquarell watercolors have traditionally used the same paint formulation for both tubes and pans. The unique process of pouring watercolor into pans in a liquid state ensures that the color maintains two important qualities - reusability and control of the paint flow. Horadam® pans are filled 4 times, with a drying and settling period occurring be-tween pourings. The pan is first filled with the color and is left to dry for some weeks in a drying chamber to a certain degree of residual moisture. Horadam® GouacheThe range of 48 colors may be diluted with water or mixed with Horadam Aquarells and the HKS line of Designers’ Gouache. After drying, Horadam Gouache can be wetted and reworked on all types of paper, board and canvas. Due to the extra-fine pigment size, these colors can also be applied using a .15mm airbrush.

Pastels - Open StockHand manufacturing creates a stable, ultra-soft stick that uses the highest concentration of finely ground pigments with minimal binding agents. Not only does this purity create a premium pastel, but also enables artists to grind down these sticks and combine them with Schmincke binders in order to make artist quality oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache and ca-sin paints. With a range of 400 colors, these pigments can be blended as pastels or paint pigments offering the artist an unlimited color palette, and an economic way to create hand-made paint with premium pigments.

375 colors in the Schmincke Pastel range follow a formula of a pure color, a shade and three tints which give artists a wide variety of harmonious colors.
