Faculty Chris Chapmond is the captain of the Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD) and currently serves as the commander of field operations. He started his career in 1996 in the patrol division. He has also worked in various roles and departments including the street crimes narcotics unit, criminal investigations/detective, public information officer, sergeant assigned as the coordinator for the 18th east judicial drug task force, lieutenant assigned as a shift commander and commander of the special operations division. He served 12 years as a SWAT operator, instructor, assistant team leader and incident commander.

Chris’ education and certifications include a degree in criminal justice, certified law enforcement instructor, certified firearms instructor, ASP defensive tactics instructor; certified police professional instructor, C.R.A.S.E (civilian response to active shooter events instructor) and he is ALERT (advanced law enforcement rapid response training) certified. He also holds a senior law enforcement certificate and has 2,300 hours of law enforcement training. Chris has received many honors and awards including 40 letters of commendation, 1996 HSPD rookie of the year, 2003 HSPD officer of the year and supervisor of the year in 2011. In his free time he is actively involved in the community through mentoring local youth and coaching sports. Missy Duke is a director with Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C. in Little Rock. Missy regularly represents employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the wage and hour division of the Arkansas Department of Labor, as well as related federal and state court litigation. She also represents employers and individuals in immigration matters. Sherry Kolb is the executive director for workforce development with the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA). She began her healthcare career working in a hospital as a nurse technician and eventually became a nurse director and recruiter for 18 years. In 2002, a workforce team at SCHA was created and Sherry left the hospital setting to join SCHA. Over the last 13 years, Sherry has assisted with developing, implementing and maintaining a member service program instrumental for South Carolina hospitals in aiding them with contracting for supplemental staffing. The program was so successful in South Carolina that Healthcare Staffing Services, a division of SCHA Solutions, is now partnered with nine additional state hospital associations to provide the program to their member hospitals. Through 10 state association relationships, the program is now the primary provider for over 300 healthcare sites. Theresa Worman cur rently serves as executive vice president of strategy and development for Compdata Surveys & Consulting, a partner to AHA and AHASI, and a national leader in providing compensation surveys and compensation consulting services.

With nearly 19 years in the compensation consulting arena, Theresa often lends her expertise to audiences at human resources seminars for WorldatWork, AHHRA, SHRM and state hospital associations across the country. Theresa also shares her knowledge with journalists from media outlets from coast to coast. Continuing Education Certificates of attendance for 5.0 education hours will be issued to all registrants attending the entire conference. An application has been made to the HR Certification Institute for CE hours. Cancellation and Refund Policy If cancellations are received after March 25, 2016, 50% of the registration fee is refundable. Registrants who cancel the day of the program, or fail to attend, must pay the entire fee. Registrants unable to attend may send an alternate. If the alternate is not a member, the non-member registration fee will be required. Registrations that are faxed are subject to the same cancellation policy. If you plan to bring a guest, their fee is $40.00 per person. If you are a sponsor of the 2016 spring conference and wish to attend, your cost is $80.00 per person.
