SPRING 2019 RIDER INFO

Ride with GPS Please review, download and print this document prior to the ride Sheriff Dev here. I produced the maps of our routes and help people with navi stuff. I’m riding the gravel routes on Friday and Saturday and I’ll also be a Trail Boss on Saturday’s gravel ride. My wife Deputy CDevil will also be doing vehicle SAG on Saturday’s gravel route. If you need anything, she will take care of you! This is a link to Kandango’s event on Ride with GPS. RWGPS is a fantastic site that lets us create and share maps to our rides. If you click on the link, you will be directed to RWGPS site and be included in the event. This unlocks the full paid (FREE TO YOU) features of RWGPS, such as the ability to upload your routes to your supported bike computers or use the ap on your phone. You will then have turn-by-turn navigation with audible cues, and the ability to print hard copies of maps and cue sheets, and the ability to download the maps and routes to your phone (if that’s how you navigate) and then turn your phone on airplane mode and still have all features without draining your battery. If you need printed copies, please use the link for the routes on the Event and print them out. We will have a very limited number of printed copies, so we ask you to print them yourself.

Click here for Ride with GPS We are constantly working to make your rides better and more interesting. I believe we have the routes finalized, but I just made a couple of updates today. RWGPS has excellent help section that shows you how to upload the routes to your bike computer, print maps, etc. Any changes made will automatically be reflected on the RWGPS site and phone aps, but to be safe, it would be wise to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday next week to load them to your bike computers. When you join the event take note that the route names are specific to the type of ride. Both routes that begin with “K2r” are the paved routes, and the routes labelled “Kgr” are the gravel routes. See you next week! Sheriff Dev

Message from Sheriff Whiskey West Des Moines Schools has been kind enough to allow us to use their parking lot at Valley Southwood's Freshman High School (235 S. 35th St., WDM). However, as school is still in session this week, they have asked for a little cooperation on our part.

1. Please park your vehicle near the tennis courts as far away as possible from the high school. 2. There is no alcohol consumption or smoking allowed on the school property. If you must

smoke, please step away from school property. As far as alcohol consumption, the sooner that we get our bikes and gear loaded on the bus and trailer, the sooner we can tap a keg from 515 Brewing that Barbara Becker is bringing along for your enjoyment. Keep in mind that this is craft brew. A little goes a long way. And there is a welcome party awaiting us at the Sandstone Saloon in Brookville!

Thanks, Sheriff Whiskey
