8 :30–11 am Orientation Check-In Campus Center, LobbyPick up your Orientation packet and meet your Orientation Aide (OA). Learn whether any holds exist on your student account and, if so, how to remedy the situation.
8:30–11 am W&M Tribe Card Processing Tribe Card Services, Campus Center, Room 169Pick up your William & Mary Tribe Card. Your Tribe Card provides access to dining halls, residence halls and events during Orientation. You can even make a deposit on your W&M Express account for access to over 30 on- and off-campus merchants, including vending and laundry machines.
8:30 am–4:30 pm Mailbox Key Pick-upSadler Center, Post OfficePick up your mailbox keys at the Post Office, located on the 1st floor of Sadler Center. Make sure you have your Student Tribe Card with you for identity verification purposes.

2:20–3:10 pm Helping Students Get the Help They NeedSadler Center, Tidewater AMany students transitioning into a new college environment eventually experience some challenge to their physical and emotional well-being. This program provides an opportunity for families to hear about services available to support optimal physical and mental health while at William & Mary.
3:15–4 pm Parent & Family Connections FairSadler Center, LobbyHear from the experts on the resources that will be available for your student’s success throughout their time with us. Campus partners from across our community will be available to answer questions and provide more information on questions you didn’t know you had, from transfer credits to student health and everything in between!

4–4:45 pm Authentic ExcellenceSadler Center, Tidewater AThis program explores the Plateau Effect, the tendency for people to stay “stuck at good,” and how the college transition can be a critical time for either breaking that pattern or cementing it further. Families will learn about the Authentic Excellence Initiative, designed to move individuals beyond the Plateau Effect and enhance productivity, fulfillment, and resilience.

2–4 pm Exchange Student Shopping ExcursionMeet in Hunt Circle (Behind Campus Center, in front of Hunt Hall)International students who are non-degree seeking may opt to participate in a shopping trip during this time.
2–3:20 pm Planning Your Academic Path as a Transfer StudentTucker Hall, Room 127ALearn about our Liberal Arts curriculum while considering your future academic plans. The transfer credit process will be covered and students will have the opportunity to work in smaller groups to prepare for course registration and meeting with their faculty advisor. Note: Students should bring copies of their transcripts, as well as their laptop computer if available.
3:30–4 pm New Degree-Seeking Course Registration Begins Tucker Hall, Various ClassroomsAll new students entering in the spring 2020 semester will register for up to 11 credits in a computer lab or via their own laptop with their Orientation Group. Professional, Faculty and Peer Advisors will be available to answer specific questions and help guide the students through registration.
4:15–5:30 pm Your New Tribe HomeSadler Center, Chesapeake ABegin to explore your new W&M community while meeting with Residence Life staff to become familiar with residence hall opportunities and policies.

You’ll have conversations around the connections between academic requirements, major & career exploration, and identifying skills you can use for what’s next.

2:30–3:15 pm Ensuring Community at W&MSadler Center, Chesapeake ABuilding community is everyone’s responsibility, and often requires the help of others. Hear from key campus partners about how W&M works to ensure a safe and welcoming campus environment.
3:30–4 pm Honor and Conduct PledgeWren BuildingAll new students will take the Honor Pledge in a ceremony conducted by the student members of the Honor Council and Student Conduct Council. Immediately following, you will have the privilege of touring one of the oldest academic buildings in the country.

Meet during the time you arranged during Friday’s registration period. Students will receive a PIN at the end of their meeting.
