Springtime FestivalsThe Wilmington area is home to a number of festivals all year long, but spring is perhaps the busiest time for local events and festivities.

The largest area festival is the North Carolina Azalea Festival, which is held each year in early April. Other local springtime festivals and events include the Encore Spring Restaurant Week, the Pleasure Island Chowder Cook-Off, the Wrightsville Beach Waterman Ocean Festival, the Wilmington Greek Festival, the Wilmington Wine and Food Festival and the Southport Spring Festival.
