LITTLE PURPLE DRAGONS - Boys & Girls “Group 1” Age 4-5The study of Purple Dragon martial arts begins at a young age. This program will encourage your child to build discipline, confidence, respect, integrity and physical reliability. Purple Dragon Don Jitsu Ryu blends Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, and Kung Fu. Join our growing Purple Dragon community today! No previous experience required.

LA JOYEUSE RIBAMBELLE (French Language Preschool) Age 3-5Young children have an innate instinct for learning new languages. This preschool program focuses on French language development through songs, rhymes, storytelling, and games fostering social and cognitive development while teaching and encouraging the use of the French language. Children will feel empowered and confident in using new vocabularies.

This program is subsidized through a partnership with L’AFFUT (Asociation Francophone et Francophile de Ucluelet et Tofino), the District of Ucluelet

WEST COAST MOTEL POOL RULES• Swimmers must rinse off in showers before entering the pool.• Swimmers will clean-up after themselves in change room area.• Swimmers to use back entrance of motel only.

JUNIOR LITTLE LEAGUE Grades 1-3Practice throwing, catching, over-hand pitching and batting in this fun-filled approach to baseball. Also covered; running bases, field positions and rules of the game. This group plays regular games with Tofino. Please bring your own glove and non-metal cleats. Twice weekly practices/games are possible dependant on coach availability.

CREATIVE DANCE & CHOREOGRAPHY Age 3-12These classes combine ballet, jazz, and modern dance techniques to build foundational dance skills while allowing students to recognize their own body mobility. Using a variety of instructional methods, students will learn alignment, dance vocabulary, proper execution of movement and memorization. We will also explore the use of dance as a creative means of self-expression. No experience necessary. Classes listed below are designed for school age kids (K+). Basic techniques of hand-building are covered as well as glazing and kiln firing. This is a great opportunity for children to explore their creativity through the tactile medium of clay. Summer Dance Camp will be a half-day camp this year and will focus on different forms of dance with special guest instructors Sarah Hogan, Sander Hinder and more! The camp will culminate in a Ukee Days showcase at the fairgrounds on the weekend following!

EZRA SOCCER CAMP Ages 3-18Ezra’s summer soccer clinic focuses on all parts of the game, on and off the field. Improve your soccer skills and keep up with your practice in prepara-tion for next season! ES Academy camp will be coached by a higher-level coach and kids Age 9-14 can choose to attend regular classes or Academy.

Week of July 20 - 24 at Tugwell Fields (morning only)

NATURE KIDS CAMP Age 7-13This camp encourages exploration and deep nature connection. Develop your survival skills building shelters, tracking animals, listening to bird language and identifying plants. The practice of a “sit spot” will be introduced. Participate in teamwork and confidence building excercises such as creating obstacle courses and playing games. Songs, storytelling and daily nature walks. Expect to laugh, play and get muddy!

Week of July 27 - 31 at Ucluelet Community Centre

GYMNASTICS CAMP Ages 3-14Chris and Megan will be back this summer for their 12th consecutive year of summer gymnastics camps in Ucluelet! Gymnastics campers will become familiar with a wide variety of equipment and safe use of equipment. This is a fun and challenging camp that will build confidence and sense of accomplishment. We hope to once again offer gymnastics this fall or winter, so come brush up on your skills, have fun and learn something new!

MOVIE MAGIC! Summer Film Camp Ages 9-15Movie Magic Camp is back for more movie-making madness! This hands-on program will introduce props, equipment and all kinds of Hollywood movie-making secrets. AGELESS YOGA Instructor: Flickerine StevensKeeping the body mobile is important at any age! This gentle class will take the body through its range of motion and provide an increase in strength and flexibility as well as a greater connection to a sense of peace and well-being.Suitable for all levels.

ALIGNMENT BASED FLOW YOGA Instructor: Flickerine StevensDeepen your understanding of the art and science of yoga as we open and strengthen the body. This class is a balance between flow and form, teaching breath-based movement along with alignment principles to progress your practice at a rate appropriate to you. Suitable for all levels.

YIN YOGA (RESTORE & LENGTHEN) Instructor: Flickerine StevensYin yoga is performed to stretch the connective tissue of the body, including the hips, thighs and lower spinal area. Yin poses are held for minutes at a time to get past the superficial or muscular tissues and dive deep into connective tissues. Suitable for all levels and all ages.

DANCE FIT 55+ Instructor: Sarah HoganLearn simple and fun dance routines to a wide variety of musical styles while exercising your memory, coordination, and balance in a relaxed and social atmosphere. This class will consist of a warm up, dance combination instruction, gentle stretching and a cool down.

CREATE A MIXED MEDIA PAINTING Adults/16+Kathryn will guide participants through the process of creating a mixed-media painting on canvas board using a variety of mediums including tex-tiles, paints, paper, tissue, pen and ink. INTRO TO CERAMICS - HANDBUILDING Adults/16+Students will be introduced to the basics of ceramics including types of clay and their properties, hand-building techniques, loading and firing the kiln, and glazing. There will be an emphasis on safety, and good studio practices. Each session will include demonstration of techniques and studio time to work on projects. At the end of the class students should have a sound basic understanding of working with clay, and the knowledge to take it further.
