PRODUCT BROCHURE

For stone and tile distributors / wholesalers / importers Stone Profit Systems (SPS) offers a comprehensive

“internet based” Enterprise Management Solution that runs your Distribution or Fabrication business more

efficiently and profitably.

This integrated software system provides all the features required to manage your stone and tile business

and is packaged as a single software product into various modules. The system is operable from desktops,

laptops, Tablet PCs or hand held PDA devices, hand held BARCODE scanners and now CELLPHONES too.

Features such as color coded screens, online help, and custom views harness SPS's power in an easy-to-use

format.

More and more distributors are relying on this management solution to optimize workflow and increase

productivity.

The work flows through the system naturally and intuitively – just the way you want it to.

SPS is an “internet based application.” This means you no longer have to rely on an expensive, unreliable,

or unsecured network server in your office, and YOU do not need to install those costly hardware updates

and upgrades. However, if you have the infrastructure to support it, the system may be installed on an

onsite Network Server.

With SPS all you need is an ordinary computer and a broadband internet connection. For starters, this

means you can access your information anywhere or anytime and sleep better knowing that your data is

safe and secure on protected servers accessible only to those you authorize. All data is backed up

continuously and consistently.

With SPS, every software update is seamlessly integrated automatically. You do not lift a finger OR a

checkbook.

PRODUCT BROCHURE

WE KNOW YOUR BUSINESS.

SPS has been meeting the needs of some of the largest stone warehouses and fabricators and quarries in

the world. Working with stone and tile distributors, we know the best practices in the stone business.

CORPORATE RELIABILITY

Our leading knowledge of the industry brings relevant and easy to use solutions of the highest quality to

stone and tile businesses.

BEST OVERALL VALUE

The value of SPS is demonstrated by ease of use, exceptional product quality, our continued commitment

to “best-in-class” service, and our corporate reliability and stability.

Unlike the competition, SPS does not require you buy a separate database license or a separate server

software license when you use the Application Service Provider (ASP) based SPS I-edition solution.

why SPS?

PRODUCT BROCHURE

ACCESS ANYTIME, ANYWHERE

Are you tired of your office server going down? Is access from outside the office slow and painful? We’re

prepared to deliver 24 X 7 X 365 access to your data wherever you have an internet connection

SECURITY YOU CAN SHAKE A STICK AT

How vulnerable is the server in your office? Disgruntled employee, break-in, hacker -- you name it. And

what about your backups? Can you be sure they work? Are they secure? SPS clients rest easy knowing they

get ALL this for their data by picking some of the best Managed Dedicated Hosting vendors in the world:

• 128 bit data encryption on all transactions

• Locked Server Cage with biometric access controls

• Fire and flood prevention systems

• Continuous system redundancy

• Daily data backup

• Complete nightly out-of-state backup.

SPS does not host your application and data but helps you find the right vendor for managing your

application server and works closely with some of the best names in the business such as Rackspace, The

Planet, NTT Verio etc.

Plus, you can download your data yourself anytime you like to make your own backup.

MULTIPLE LEVELS OF ACCESS

The administrator controls which employees have access to what functions. Users can have access to

multiple functions within the system depending on their access level.

IP Security

This allows you to control the employees that get to work on the system from anywhere on the internet.

Some of the employees only get to login from anywhere since they are on the road all the time and others

have only limited access from your premises.

5

PRODUCT BROCHURE

EASY TO FIND, EASY TO NAVIGATE

All data is organized. For example, you can find exact number of slabs of each material at each location.

Furthermore, you can lookup the slabs you have from different lots of each material and the current

warehouse at which they are located.

SETUP AND CONFIGURATION

Once your service order is complete, you will get access to your pre-configured system within days -- not

weeks. Each new account includes as a minimum:

• Setup of all warehouse locations

• Complete set of pre-configured defaults

• Support of data transfer of existing customers, suppliers and materials

• Training of various departments in your company

EASY INSTALLATION AND FAMILIARIZATION

To run the SPS I-edition all you need is a PC, a browser, and a broadband internet connection.

If you do not have the required equipment SPS can assist you with the leasing or purchasing the hardware.

Implementation can be accomplished on average in less than half the time required by competitive

solutions.

However you have the choice of the SPS N-edition in which case the software runs exclusively at your

premises and can be completely disconnected from the outside world.

CUSTOMIZATION

Because SPS is the most customizable solution on the market, you can be rest assured that the system will

work with your business the way you want it to.

SECURITY SPS uses IP-Based Security?

IP-Based security allows customers to control who can access and/or who gets

blocked from

NOTE: IP-Based Security is available as a service upgrade option on all services except for CommunityZero.com™.

How Does it Work? Every computer connected to the Internet, end user PCs and servers alike, has a unique

"Internet Protocol" (IP) address similar to a phone number. An IP address looks like 255.255.255.255. IP addresses are used to identify a computer so it may send and receive information on the Internet (such as a Web page). Every website domain name, such as stoneprofits.com, is simply a friendly name that points to a specific IP address. Every user of the Internet has an IP address but they are often not made aware of it. accessing their site and its communities. Benefits IP-Based Security can provide a solid and predictable method for protecting a site and its communities by offering precise control on who gets access. Without IP-based security, the Stone Profit System will still prevent unwanted access by requiring a valid user name and password at all times. However, with the addition of IP-based security, unwanted users are not even permitted to load the log in page or any other page for that matter. Users who have not been explicitly granted access will simply see a generic page explaining that access has not been granted. A form is provided on that page so they may request access by e-mail. The customer’s identity is never revealed unless it is apparent in the domain name being attempted. How do I Control Who Gets Access?

System

Requirements

If IP-Based Security is activated, two options are provided in the administration area. The first provides a method of listing IP addresses, or address ranges, that should be granted access. The second option allows the blocking of one or more unwanted IP addresses. Both “allow” and “block” options can be used together thereby allowing specific IP addresses to be blocked within a range of allowed addresses. IP-Based Security settings also control access to the site administration area. This allows all aspects of the Stone Profit Systems to be protected. If desired, even SPS support staff can be completely barred from accessing the hosted site. Who should use IP-Security? IP-Based Security is ideal for users that access the Internet from office networks, as they generally make use of static or unchanging IP addresses. Users dialing into the Internet are generally assigned a temporary IP addresses from their Internet Service Provider (ISP) - this means their IP address changes every time they connect to the Internet. IP-Based Security is therefore only a viable solution if all users of the site will be using static IP addresses. Static IP addresses can be purchased for dial-up connections and are generally standard in office networks (i.e. the office may share an IP on the Internet but it is static). Please contact your ISP or network manager for details or call our support team for assistance.
