  • The SRB Floating Bridge from CEFA

    This bridge is designed for water way crossing by MLC 60 wheeled or tracked vehicles. It is built by assembling 6.75 m. long elements end to end to make a kind of floating carpet which is connected to the banks with two ramps linked to the hull of the bridge.

    Each bridge or ramp element built in steel is made up of four boxes linked together so that a flat truck, especially prepared for launching and landing is able to carry it.

    The unfolding of the element (bridge or ramp) is done upon launching, After unlocking the boxes, with a cable system and hydrostatic thrust. On water, moving bridge Elements requires the use of bridging boats, suitable for the low draught of the bridge.

    CEFA Vedette F2 is used as bridge erection boat.
