The mirroring relationship between the pairs becomes operational as soon as the EMC Symmetrix Remote Data Facility links are online. If you have dynamic SRDF available, you have the capability to change relationships between R1 and R2 volumes in your device pairings on the fly without requiring a BIN file configuration change.The EMC Symmetrix Remote Data Facility device group can hold one of two types of devices:RDF1 source device, which acts as the primaryRDF2 target device, which acts as the secondaryCheck the existing RA-Group symcfg list -ra allCreate RA-Group symrdf addgrp -label -rdfg -sid -dir , -remote_rdfg -remote_sid -remote_dir , -nop Note: rdfg and remote-rdfg should be same to manage easier. Create Dynamic SRDF Pair Create Pair FileFile Name: Virtual_OS.txt 100 150 101 151 102 151 Create Dynamic SRDF Pair with adaptive copy disk mode symrdf -file Virtual_OS.txt -sid -rdfg createpair -type R1 -invalidate R2 -rdf_mode acp_disk -nopCheck the pair creation symrdf list -rdfg symdg listAdd your two devices to your device group using the symld command.
