A meeting was convened by Principal Madam along with the Heads of Departments to

review the mock presentation of PG regulations 2019 in regard to Academic Council

The Day 7 session on Infosys Campus Connect Webinar Series on "ABCD of IT

Foundations" was conducted today in collaboration with Infosys, Chennai. The session

was handled by Mr.Roy Arnold, Infosys, Chennai. The topics were „Introduction to digital

data, Big data landscape, Introduction to Apache Hadoop and Types of analytics‟.

Mr. Mohamed Nousath Yusuf of II year CSE(C sec) has successfully completed the

educational program in “Networking with Cisco Router & Switch”, at SANSBOUND

– The Networking School, Chennai. The curriculum includes IPv4 andIPv6 networks,

LAN switch router, EIGRP & OSPF Protocols, WAN, Security threats and redundant

topologies.

The Fujitsu Palm Secure technology is a palm vein based strong authentication solution that utilizes

Secure technology has been deployed worldwide in a wide range of vertical markets, including

security, financial/banking, healthcare, commercial enterprises and educational facilities. Additional

applications include physical access control, logical access control, retail POS systems, ATMs,

kiosks, time and attendance management systems, visitor ID management and other industry-

specific biometric applications.

The Fujitsu Palm Secure sensor uses near-infrared light to capture a person‟s palm vein

pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against pre-registered user palm

vein patterns. The palm vein device can only recognize the pattern if the blood is actively flowing

within the individual‟s veins, which means that forgery is virtually impossible. This advanced,

vascular pattern recognition technology provides highly reliable authentication. The Palm Secure

technology false accept rate is just 0.00008 percent with an exceptional false reject rate of 0.01

percent, all in a small form factor that generates extremely fast authentication, usually under one

second.

used for leading vehicles like Hyundai ,KIA Motors ,Honda , Renault ,Nissan,Maruthi ,Ford.

Mr. S.P Sai Praneeth and Mr. M.Vigneshwar have been selected in the online round of the

annual case study event 'Imperium' organized by IIM- Indore. The team will participate in the

on-campus round at IIM-INDORE between 6th and 8th September, 2019. The team was

mentored by Prof.K.Nagarajan and Prof.R.Muthukrishnan.

Competition.

SKCET has been selected by MHRD-AICTE to establish the Institute Innovation Council

(IIC), a Government of India Initiative to systematically foster the culture of Innovation

amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). To acknowledge this initiative, a Certificate

of Recognition with Second Golden Star rating has been awarded for SKCET. With this

establishment of Institute Innovation Council, SKCET now has a tremendous chance of

contributing to the mission of making India as the global hub of innovation. The Second
