USE EXCAVATED MATERIALS FOR BACKFILL UNLESS OFF-SITE MATERIALS ARE DEEMEDNECESSARY BY THE ARCHITECT. THE ITEMS SPECIFIED HEREIN AND ON DRAWINGS ARE USED AS A STANDARD OF QUALITY. ANYMATERIALS OF EQUAL QUALITY AND AESTHETIC VALUE WILL BE GIVEN CONSIDERATION AS ASUBSTITUTE FOR THE MATERIALS SPECIFIED. WHERE MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT ARE SPECIFIED OR INDICATED BY THE NAME OF THE MANUFACTUREROR BY ACCEPTED TRADE DESIGNATION, SUBSTITUTION FOR EQUAL PRODUCT WILL BE CONSIDERED, ENGINEERS DECISION ISFINAL IN DETERMINING EQUAL PRODUCT. UNDERGROUND CONDUITSHALL BE SCHEDULE 40 PVC WITH PROPERLY CEMENTED JOINTS. FMC SHALL BE USED FOR FINALCONNECTION TO MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT NOT TO EXCEED 36" AND TO RECESSED REMOVABLE LIGHTINGFIXTURES NOT TO EXCEED 72". FMC SHALL NOT BE USED EXCEPT AS NOTED. 3. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL POWER OUTAGESWITH OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE. OBTAIN PERMISSION ATLEAST SEVEN (7) DAYS BEFORE PARTIAL OR COMPLETEPOWER OUTAGES.
4. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS. FIELD VERIFY EXACT EQUIPMENTLOCATIONS PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK.

9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PATCH AND PAINT DAMAGEDAREAS AS REQUIRED TO MATCH EXISTING SURFACES. THECONTRACTOR SHALL REPLACE ANY CEILING TILES THAT AREDAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION.
