Features

SITOL SILICON POLICARBONATO is speciallyformulated to meet the installation requirements forpolycarbonate sheets. The product adheres perfectly,even without PRIMER SILICON, and sets quickly. It alsoprovides good adhesion on non-porous substrates suchas glass, porcelain, enamel, plastic and metal. Thefeatures of the product ensure long-lasting flexibility andmaximum hold.WARNINGS: Keep out of the reach of children. Avoidcontact with the skin and eyes. Rinse eyes thoroughly inthe event of contact. If necessary seek medical attention.Only apply in ventilated environments or those with asuction system.A volatile and irritating substance develops duringapplication and setting. Prolonged inhalation in sufficientquantities may damage your health.

Applications

The neutral curing properties of SITOL SILICONPOLICARBONATO ensure it does not emit hazardousor unpleasant odours. The product is therefore suitablefor use in closed environments such as industrialfacilities. It is ideal for the installation of polycarbonatesheets and plugging as well as for roofing, greenhouses,skylights and solar panels. Preliminary tests should beconducted to check adhesion when using treatedpolycarbonate (UV proof).NOTE: SITOL SILICON POLICARBONATO is notsuitable for structural gluing.

Instructions for use

Size of the joint: minimum depth = 6 mm.For thicknesses up to 10 mm the depth must be equal tothe thickness of the joint and in any event not less than 6mm.For thicknesses from 10 to 20 mm = at least 10 mm. Forthicknesses greater than 20 mm = at least half thethickness.1) Application surfaces such as frames must be clean,degreased and dry.2) Insert the cartridge in the gun, open the cartridge,screw on the applicator nozzle and cut the end off thenozzle to produce a suitable opening.3) Inject a generous amount of the sealant.4) Position the polycarbonate sheets on the frame.5) Secure the sheets with nuts and bolts.6) Seal the heads of the nuts and bolts and then applythe sealant between the frame and polycarbonate sheetsto create a shell.

Cleaning tools: use solvents when the sealant is still wet;after setting only mechanically.

Storage

SITOL SILICON POLICARBONATO must be stored ina dry and cool place. Under these conditions theproduct is stable for at least 12 months.Half-used cartridges can be saved for approximatelythree months if closed properly.
