Our St. Paul Parish and School
Capital Campaign
continues with pledges coming in from many parishioners. We are grateful to all who have been able to make a pledge. We are also grateful to those who have considered the Campaign but prayerfully decided their personal financial situation does not allow them to make a pledge at this time. We
count on their prayers and hope in
future years they may be able to help.
For those who have not yet decided on a pledge or a gift, please give some thought
this week to what you may be able to do to assist your parish community in meeting this
responsibility to care for our school building. There are additional pledge/gift envelopes in the back of the church if you need an additional or a replacement. There are also a few packets with the explanatory
booklets and brochures if you did not receive one in the mail.
Any questions about the Campaign can be directed to Laura Rauch, Development
Director of St. Paul School (304-748-5225, or to our Pastor, Fr. Larry Dorsch (304-
748-6710).

This week: The Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Ezekiel 2:2-5 2Corinthians 12:7-10 Mark 6:1-6
Adult Bible Study There will be no Tuesday evening Bible Study until
Fr. Larry returns from his African trip on July 16.
Dear Parishioners:
I am off on my safari in Africa until July 16th. This weekend I am in Tororo, Uganda, for the Priestly ordination of Mark Odoi. Some of you will remember Mark from his visit here at Christmas in 2013. He was ordained on July 4 and his First Mass will be at his home parish on Sunday. Please remember Mark and his family as you gather for mass this weekend.
On Tuesday of this week, Fr. Matt Rowgh my classmate and I will leave our friends in Uganda and travel to Nairobi, Kenya, where we will begin a real safari. We will go to the Masai Mara Wildlife Refuge for three days of
touring among God’s critters in the magnificent savannah. On Sunday we return to Nairobi for the next leg of our adventure.
Keeping all of you in our prayer. Jambo! —- Fr. Larry
Fortnight 2015: Freedom to Bear Witness
"Keeping the spirit of the Gospel means that Catholic institutions are to bear witness in love to the full truth about the human person by providing social, charitable, and educational services in a manner that fully reflects the God-given dignity of the human person." - Archbishop William E. Lori, Chairman, Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty, on the "Freedom to Bear Witness". . . The Fortnight for Freedom: Freedom to Bear Witness will take place from June 21 to July 4, 2015, a time when our liturgical calendar celebrates a series of great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of persecution by political power—St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, St. John the Baptist, SS. Peter and Paul, and the First Martyrs of the Church of Rome. The theme of this year's Fortnight will focus on the "freedom to bear witness" to the truth of the Gospel.
