A spacious and elegant seven seater with effortless cruising performance. Turismo’s huge interior space and flexible passenger and load carrying capability means it can carry seven adults and 875 litres of luggage, through to two adults and 3,146 litres of load space.

The introduction of a new 2.2 litre diesel engine has taken Turismo’s performance to new levels. With 400Nm of torque from just 1,400 rpm, the new engine gives great driving flexibility and now features the Mercedes-Benz 7 speed E-Tronic automatic transmission which makes Turismo the ultimate long distance family cruiser.

Thanks to its 3,000mm wheelbase, Turismo provides a huge interior space where seven adults can travel in supreme comfort with their luggage loaded in the back, without having to compromise on passenger accommodation. There are three rows of seats, finished in leather in EX and ELX models, with the rear two rows able to slide forward and back to accommodate your changing needs. The large load space can be further increased by removing the third row completely, whilst the second row of captains seats provides convenient ‘walk through’ access to the third row, and can also be folded individually. That gives a luxurious, flexible and accessible interior that can accommodate the needs of a large family or business with comfort and style.

Cabin temperature is maintained throughout the vehicle with a climate control system equipped with rear ceiling mounted vents and a fan control above the second row of seats allowing passengers in the back to enjoy greater comfort.

Turismo features a comprehensive package of active safety features, including Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Active Rollover Protection (ARP) and Brake Assist System (BAS). There are dual front and side airbags, while ISOFIX anchorage points for child seats are fitted to the second row. Passive safety is further increased thanks to two high strength subframes fitted to the front and rear of the car. These help to disperse any impact shocks from a frontal or off-set collision and protect passengers by minimising cabin distortion.

While rear wheel drive features across the range, the top of the range ELX also features selectable 4x4 with low ratio as standard. This makes Turismo ELX a car you really can rely on, no matter what the British winter throws at you. It is also an especially practical proposition for those who tow a caravan, horsebox or boat trailer, or whose other country and leisure activities necessitate driving across challenging terrain. As with the other Turismo models the ELX has a useful 2.0 tonne towing capability.
