But What is a Base Station
• Any GNSS receiver that records to file constellation variances that can be used to post process rover data.

• Where you need a position better than autonomous GPS
• No local base station is available
• Where the baseline is greater than 300km
• Where RTK precision is not needed
• Where realtime positioning is not a requirement

This is not an option for users using Arcpad with GPS Correct extension
How?
Change File type to Base Default name
is Base followed by reverse date/ time
Selecting Antenna and Logging options
Enter the correct antenna height
Select the type of antenna
5sec logging is fine for base files
Position
If setting up over a know mark enter coordinates
Use the Here button if location is unknown
Start Session
Option Tab and File transfer
