READINGS FOR THE WEEK

Our Condolences

Mrs. Sheila Owens Mulcahy, mother of Joshua Mulcahy (St. Anne’s School student) passed away on Sept. 6th. We extend our condolences to the Mulcahy family, es-pecially to her husband, Ron, and at the same time thank them for requesting donations offered by family and friends be made to St. Anne’s School in lieu of flowers.

Scriptural Reflections on Stewardship

The Lord has revealed his saving power to all the nations! Naaman, a Syrian, is healed, and lepers

are made whole, but only the Samaritan returns to give thanks. Let us remain steadfast in faith, and thankful for the Lord’s blessings.

Every Tuesday, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in

the church from 3 to 4 p.m. It is an hour of prayer for the priests, reli-gious men and women and an increase of vo-cations to the priesthood and the religious life of the Church. We invite you to come and spend time with the Lord for these intentions and for your personal requests. Holy

Hour closes with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

CONCERT St. Anne’s Fil-Am Association in coordina-

tion with Ateneo Alumni North East, Inc. is sponsoring a concert “Himig Heswita + Friends” a prayer and healing concert on October 17th at 2 p.m. in St. Anne’s Church. Donation is $20/person. For in-formation, please contact Greg Gonzales 201-736-5844 or Dolly 201-936-6325.

Coro Estamos reorganizando nuestro coro, Si te gusta cantar, o sabes tocar algun instru-mento, nuestro coro te necisita. Por favor acercate a la Sra. Rosa para más informa-ción. Recuerda, cantar es orar dos veces.

Evangelization Corner…… Reflecting On The Gospel - In today’s Gospel, we meet a truly grateful man. A person who suffers with the dis-ease of leprosy, a person who Jesus cares. This man was a castaway from his family and out of society, understands what many God’s people do not under-stand; miracles are from God who heals the human spirit as well as human body. The Gospel says that this man returned glorifying God and that he fell at Jesus’ feet and thanked Him for curing him.

Sharing Ideas - Share a time when someone did something wonderful to you? How did you express your gratitude to that person? How did you praise the goodness of God?
