Keith Newton A warm welcome: to S. Anselm’s Pembury. We hope to see you again. The Children’s liturgy: takes place during the 9.15 Mass. Visitors welcome. Teachers are police checked and follow basic child safety procedure. We believe children are the church of today. Child protection officer: Rosie Sawyer 01892 537349. Please report any concerns to her directly. Our strict parish policy is that no child should be alone with an adult unless it is their own parent. Pray for the sick: Susan Adcock, Lillian Kitley, Amelia Woodgate, Julie Izzard, Mick Colville, Doreen Boughton, June Ball, Madeleine Ravenhill, Rita Ellard, Sandra and Simon Terry, Tom Greisser, Howard Johnson Pray for the departed: Ann Riley, June McCarthy Confessions: Wednesday evenings 6-7pm or by appointment. Patronal Festival: the feast of St. Anselm falls on 21 April and we shall be celebrating it this morning. Mass will end with Benediction. Holy Hour: following the success of a holy hour after Mass on Saturdays in Lent, we shall continue to offer this time of devotion on the first Saturday of every month. During which a priest is available for confession Thanksgiving Evensong: July 1 st 6pm for the beautification of our church. We hope the entire congregation will be present. We have several guests in attendance and the service will be followed by refreshments. Divine Worship: the CTS have designed a handheld study version of Divine Worship- cost £65. Pre-order on the CTS website Ordinariate lay conference: August 7-9 at Worth Abbey. The aim is to provide time for prayer and fellowship. Why not come along? Further details available from the clergy. Ascension Day: falls on Thursday 10 th May. We will be celebrating with a special Mass at 8pm. Please come and support keeping the feasts of the Christian year on their appropriate day. First Communion: Sunday 17 June. The celebrant at Mass will be Mgr Keith Newton. Please be there to support our candidate. Summer BBQ: June 17 th following the admission to first communion. We will need lots of help and support to make this a successful event. Rumours that the crazy hat competition will resurface have substance… Thank you: we raised over £350 for our Lent Charity in support of those who have survived torture and their families.
