Parish Groups:

Facility Requests Now is the time for all parish groups

to submit their room requests for the

2019/20 season. Facility request forms

may be found on the table in the

Narthex. A completed form will insure

inclusion in the Parish Calendar and

helps prevent double-booking.

Next weekend,

July 20 & 21,

Fr. Bob Bonnot

will be with us at all Masses on behalf of

UNBOUND. He will give you an

opportunity to participate in its work of

unbinding deserving children and elderly

persons tied down by poverty in 18

different countries around the world. We

hope many of you will take advantage of

this missionary discipleship opportunity.

There is no special collection, but you

will be invited to undertake a sponsorship.

Housekeeping odds & ends: Just a few notes to touch base on:

1. Prayer Blankets/Chapel: If you would like to request a prayer blanket for a special

need, event, etc., please contact the Parish Office or Sandy Maenle. The prayer

blanket in the chapel is there to allow anyone to tie a simple knot (indicating a prayer

has been offered) as they offer prayers for the eventual receiver of the blanket.

Please don’t attach anything to the blanket; we recently came across prayer

intentions stapled to the blanket. If you have intentions that you would like others to

include in their prayer, please write them in the book just outside the chapel door on

the left; or slip them into the box just to the right of the chapel door. Thank you for

your help with this.

2. Items to be blessed: Fr. Slaton is always happy to bless items for people. If you

have to leave them for him to bless at a later time, please be sure to attach your name

and phone number, so we can contact you once the item is blessed. It can be very

difficult to remember what item goes to who when several have been dropped off in

a short amount of time. Thanks!

3. Lost & Found: We are gathering quite a collection of items that have been left

behind after Masses, etc. We will put everything in a box in the Narthex for the next

few weeks. Please take a few moments to look through and see if you find that

missing item. Anything left by the beginning of August will be donated to the

Rummage Sale. Happy hunting!

50/50 needs your help! Brian Bischoff will be out of town for the August 24/25 & September 21/22 drawings & is looking for someone to take his place those weekends. Please call Michelle in the Parish Office, or Brian Bischoff if you can help ASAP!

PRAYER FOR THE RETURN OF NON-PRACTICING CATHOLICS

Good Shepherd, You never cease to seek out the lost, to call home the stray, to comfort the frightened, and to bind

up the wounded.

I ask You to bring the people I hold in my heart back to the practice of the

Faith, and to remove all obstacles that prevent them from receiving Your

abundant mercy, which flows sacramentally through the heart of

Your holy Church.

Through the intercession of Mary, the Mother of God, their Guardian Angels,

their Patron Saints, and the ever-prayerful St. Monica, may You pardon

their sins and unshackle them from whatever hinders their freedom to

come Home. For You, O Good Shepherd, have loved

us to the end and offered Yourself to the Father for the salvation of all.

Amen.

Prayers for the return of a non-practicing Catholic also should be accompanied by sacrificial and private acts of fasting, and almsgiving in their name.
