RENEW + REBUILD Over 30 months ago our parish was one of the 12 “pilot parishes” in the Renew-Rebuild Capital Campaign for the Archdiocese of New York. Our parish’s goal was to raise $1.7 mil-lion. To date, we have received pledges in the amount of $1,718 million. As of May 1, we have received $992,000 paid on those pledges. There were a number of projects that we designated would be completed with this capital campaign money. Over the past two years, we continue to pay down the debt on the new parking lot. We have installed all new LED interior and exterior church lighting during the spring of 2017. We upgraded the church’s heating and air-conditioning systems, repaved the school/church parking lot, and now, finally the complete renovation of the parish rectory (dating back to the 1920’s where our parish priests live). We are now in the process of renovating the rectory and building a new garage for the rectory. So far, we have contracted an architect who is completing the design work on both the garage and rectory. Shortly, we will put the designs out for bid to three general contractors. After approvals from various boards and committees in town we will begin the renovation work. We anticipate work beginning by late summer or early fall. The project should be completed in approximately six months. Meanwhile, we are working on possible locations for the priests to live during the construction period. We are most grateful to all of our parishioners who have made this project possible.

Second Collection June 30 ~ July 1st

Next weekends second collection is for the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa. The

Church in Africa is growing rapidly, but too often there are not enough local pastoral resources to

support people in their faith. Without your support, the younger generation run the risk of falling away from the Church. The Church in

Africa needs your help, so please be as generous as always to their cause.
