TODAY’S MESSAGE Dear Parishioners, This is our once a year report of Financial information to the Parish. My thanks to the Finance Council for their help throughout the year. There are two things of note. First, as I wrote to you before, the Parish owned a house a few houses down on Leota Ave. We have sold that and put the funds in the bank. When the Diocese gave permission to sale the building, it was with the understanding that all of the funds will go to a new Parish Hall. Our old parish hall has been taken over by the Catholic Academy of Sunnyvale as one of their preschool sites. We will begin building as soon as our budget is balanced and we raise the additional funds to complete the project. My thanks also to the Parish Building Committee on this project. The second note of concern is the fall off in collections last year. As you know, in order to balance the budget we either have to reduce services or raise our Sunday collection. Starting in October we will start a Parish program of "One by One by One." It is a Stewardship program just to remind all of us that we are dedicated to St. Cyprian by our time, treasure and talent. TEENS AND FAMILIES OF CATHOLIC ACADEMY

Catholic Academy and the St. Cyprian Youth Group will be co-hosting a viewing of the Supermoon Eclipse, a rare celestial event, this Sunday, September 27. Bring a friend along, join us for the 6 p.m. youth mass, and then meet out in the field at 7 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner and blanket. Catholic Academy will provide the telescopes and a short documentary. The Youth Group will provide s'mores. This special star-gazing party ends at 8:30 p.m.
