Today’s Readings First Reading — The widow of Zarephath had only a handful of flour and a little oil, but made a little cake for Elijah (1 Kings 17:10-16). Psalm — Praise the Lord, my soul! Friends & Fellowship The next free meal will be Sunday, November 11th, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Handmaids of the Lord and Anima Christi Choir will prepare the meal. This meal is for anyone in our area who needs a free meal or just some company and fellowship. Thanks to our parish groups and Newark organizations who help us in this good cause, including the committee members.

Hospitality Sunday Hospitality Sunday is November 18 after the 7:15 & 9:00 a.m. Masses. Come for free donuts and coffee in the parish hall. This is an opportunity to meet fellow parishioners. Please take the time to introduce yourself and your family to a parishioner or family that you do not know. The goal of Hospitality Sunday is to enjoy coffee and donuts with friends and also become familiar with other parishioners. We appreciate the Hospitality Committee who set up the event and the Men’s Club who pay for the donuts.

Men's Club Crab Feed Tickets The Men's Club has sit down and takeout tickets for the Crab Feed

Saturday, December 8th Tickets are $55 sit down or $45 takeout.

An International Day of Giving! November 27, 2018 We invite you to partner with your parish school to upgrade our technology program on Giving Tuesday, 11.27.18! St. Edward School received a generous grant of $2,400 from the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose Foundation for almost half the cost of this important educational tool. Le Gustaría llevar a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe a Casa?

Queremos invitar a las familias que gusten llevar la imagen de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe a su casa. La idea es que la puedan tener por una semana, en donde podrán pedir por sus necesidades y las vocaciones religiosas y sobre todo rezar el Rosario en familia. Acuérdense que “La Familia que reza unida, permanece unida”. La imagen la pueden devolver el Sábado siguiente antes de la Misa, así la próxima familia puede llevarla a su casa. It will focus on women's need to be nourished (in body, mind, and spirit) so that they can provide for themselves and others. Advent is the time to slow down and to focus on the coming of Jesus. Please make time for yourself and join us!
