That politicians, scientists and economists work
together to protect the world’s seas and oceans.
MUSIC MINISTRY
Handbell Choir The Handbell choir rehearses on Sundays,
6:30-7:30PM and plays our set of 49 Malmark bells on special occasions throughout the year. Contact David McIntyre for more information.
Choral Scholar Program Choral Scholars have the opportunity to sing in SEAS Chorale in a choral setting each week (September-June), covering a range of repertoire and celebrations in a Catholic-Christian sacred music context. Choral Scholars are responsible young adults in a high school or college music program who aim for the highest musical standards. They have a solid foundation in sight reading and musicianship, and possess a trained
voice suitable for blending in choral music and confidently singing a solo piece. Choral Scholars are paid a scholarship for sharing and developing their talents. For auditions, contact David McIntyre at [email protected] or 423-367-4657. Please prepare 2 solo pieces (provide a clear copy for an accompanist) and expect to sing some vocalizations and sight read a selection of choral music.
ALL SOULS TAIZÉ SERVICE
NOVEMBER 4, 6:00 p.m.
Taize is a meditative service of beautiful music and scripture that soothes the soul. At this service we remember all those who have gone before us by lighting candles. SEAS Chorale, Handbell Choir, and other instruments make this prayer service transcend beyond our everyday lives, allowing us to reflect on what words alone cannot express. To insure we have enough candles and the names of those who will be remembered, there
will be cards in the foyer to sign-up.
Please pray for: Donovan Crawley, Adam Bueno, Melba Abila, Natalie Gamboa, Cheryl Glynn, Rudy Marquez, Sr., Mark Anthony Campos, Joanny Soltero, Michael Paynter, Stella Gonzalez, Kayla Knox, Alonzo Rios, Alan Gray, Chris Hemann, Elena Garcia, Mary Glennon, Amelia Valerio, Merea Vasquez, Jose Munoz, Mike Glenn, Julia Galvan, Dayton Martinez, Angie Rodriguez, Tim Chavez, Ronnie Mudica, Connie Crawley.

Walking Trail Benches
A special thank you to all who have purchased walking trail
benches. We have far exceeded our goal! We are in the process of working with TexaStone Quarries, tasked
with the designing and construction of the benches.
Sometimes It’s Hard to Ask for Help We are brought up to be strong, self-sufficient, independent people. We tend to think that if we ask for help, it is a sign of weakness. However, that is not God’s plan. Galatians 6:2 says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” If you are sad or struggling inside, don’t suffer alone. Ask for help. We have a team of
Stephen Ministers who are ready to listen, care, encourage, pray, and help you through a tough time. We have male and female ministers. Your Stephen Minister is going to respect you and your privacy. They will not tell you what to do, but will listen and walk alongside to help you talk things out and work things through. Remember it will be strictly you, your Stephen Minister and God. It is God who will provide the healing you need. To find out more about Stephen Ministry you can speak to our Stephen Leader, Elizabeth “Liz” Jimenez or email Liz at [email protected] Our Stephen Ministers are ready to care for you!
The Catholic Student Association (CSA) The CSA at UTPB would like to invite college
students attending UTPB to a weekly Mass held Thursdays at 12:30 pm. Weekly meetings for CSA will be held on Fridays at 1 pm. Please call 432-
215-8169 or contact Anita Montez at [email protected] for the locations.
If you attend Odessa College and would be interested in forming the Catholic Student
Association at Odessa College, we are seeking 2-3 students and a faculty member to serve as
advisor. Call 432-215-8169 for more information.
