Stewardship

“Come to me, all you who are weary and carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” Matthew 11:28-30 Generosity is not a burden, but a liberating experience. It liberates because the generous person is walking in the yoke with Christ, sharing gifts and challenges.

WELCOME YEN TRAN! St. Ignatius Martyr Parish will host a Vietnamese Seminarian, Yen Tran, from July 1-August 7, 2020.

Yen is from Vinh, Vietnam. Vinh city is the capital of Nghe An Province. The Diocese of Vinh is a Roman Catholic Diocese in central Vietnam. The creation of the diocese in present form was declared November 24, 1960. It is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh city. In 1988, the local Church reopened its major seminary that gives priestly formation to students from Vinh and Thanh Hoa dioceses. Yen is diligently working on learning the English language and has recently completed English classes at Fr. David’s Alma Mater, Sacred Heart Seminary & School of Theology in Hales Corners, W.I. We celebrate with Deacon Lucio in a spirit of great joy, on the beginning of his 3rd year anniversary of his assign-ment as deacon at St. Ignatius Martyr Parish. We are truly blessed to have such a faithful servant in the ministry of the diaconate.

Thank you Marilyn McDaniel for always provid-ing beautiful flowers for the altar and church.

Thank you Charlie Recktenwald, Jim Grether

and Mike Fogle for faithfully mowing the lawn; trimming the flower and shrub beds; and, pick-ing up trash on our property.

Thank you Ann Hager and Stephen Obst Jr.,

for purchasing and spreading the mulch in front of our church and rectory.
