Dear Friends in Christ,

This weekend, Infant Jesus kicks off another House of Charity collection. I was happy to re-

ceive the check to our parish of $13,000.00 as we made our goal in 2012. To all who participated last year, I

thank you in the name of the parish. Our goal remains the same for 2013, namely $130,000.00. Our parish-

ioners are so generous. The Holy Father has expressed a true love for the poor (not unlike his predecessors),

in his own unique way. His vow of poverty as a Jesuit, expressed in his personal life, challenges us to do our

part to share with others in imitation of Christ who gave all of himself for our sake. We will have an in pew

solicitation this weekend and I ask you to please consider giving to the House of Charity. This collection

does more good than we can imagine. The training of our future priests and deacons depends on this collec-

tion. The diocese was able to assist those who suffered from Hurricane Sandy and is able to help families

who suffer from poverty, emotional problems and so many other needs. I was at a meeting recently where

Bishop Sullivan addressed the gathering. He said that we pastors must not be afraid to ask for help…to ask

for financial support, since it is not for ourselves, but for Jesus’ work that we request your help. I ask that

you support this campaign and be as generous as possible. This work of Jesus must not be on the back of a

few, but we must all do our part, no matter how large or small. Every penny counts when given to the Lord.

May the Lord bless you for your gift to him in his distressing disguise.

In the Infant Jesus,

Father Szolack

Please pray for our parishioners who

are in the hospital, nursing home or

sick at home. Please add Judy Crisp

& Jim O’Shea to your sick list.

New Family Prayer Crucifix for Vocations

Every Sunday at the 10:00 AM Mass, we will see a fam-

ily receive a Crucifix to take home for the week to pray

for vocations to the Holy Priesthood and Religious

Life. It is contained in a beautiful handcrafted box

which also serves as a stand for the Crucifix. Prayers to

be used by the host family are on a laminated program

in the box. Every weekend the host family will return

the Crucifix in procession and a new host family will

receive it at the end of Mass. Sister Vilma is the crucifix

for vocations coordinator. Let us pray for holy vocations

to religious life from our parish. If you are praying over

a possible calling, please speak to Father

Szolack.

April 21 - 28 - The Malak Family

OFFERTORY COLLECTIONS

April 14 - $14,419.00

Thank you for your continuing support of Infant Jesus

Parish. Please make your checks payable to: Infant

Jesus Parish.

Next week there will be a second collection for Catholic

Home Missions. One way the Catholic Home Missions

Appeal works to support home mission dioceses in the

United States is by supporting seminarian formation in

poor dioceses. Often home mission priests and lay min-

isters require special training to attend to the unique

needs of their faith communities. Your support is need-

ed. Please help strengthen the Church at home by mak-

ing a generous gift to next week’s Appeal.

UPCOMING RETREATS

A one day Women’s Spirituality Retreat at Mother

Mary Joseph Center of Hospitality, Franciscan Mis-

sionary sisters of the Infant Jesus, 1215 Kresson Road,

Cherry Hill on April 27, 2013.

For information on either retreat call Ann Klein at 856-

686-0645.

Filling the Darkness With Light

Our goal here at Infant Jesus Parish

is $130,000. We have already

raised $33,657.50 from the contri-

butions of only 90 families! That’s

an average gift of $373.97. Now

we invite all parishioners to partici-

pate in this important effort. Please

make your sacrificial gift to help

continue the mission of the Church

here in the Diocese of Camden.

ST. VINCENT de PAUL

As we move into spring our thoughts turn to the youngest members of our community. Diapers are an

expensive necessity that doesn't always fit into the monthly budget of many families let alone that of

single moms. On the weekends of April 27th & 28th and May 4th & 5th we will be holding our annual

Diaper Drive. We are collecting diapers of all sizes as well as baby wipes. All donations may be left

in the back of both churches and will benefit needy families in our community. Thank you for your

anticipated kindness & generosity.
