QUINTO DOMINGO DE CUARESMA NADIE ESTÁ SIN PECADO

Pecado no es una palabra que usemos en nuestra cultura actual. Sin embargo, debemos ser honestos y reconocer que hemos pecado. De otra manera, nos convertimos como las personas con una enfermedad que está negando sus implicaciones, no podemos esperar a ser sanados a menos que admitamos que existe. El pecado es una enfermedad del alma, una enfermedad en nuestra relación con Dios. Cuando pecamos, fallamos en llevar una vida como Dios desea. La verdad es, nadie está sin pecado. Todos fallamos. Podemos tener momentos de una unión intensa con Dios y vivir como sabemos deberíamos. Pero también algunas veces fallamos en el objetivo. Apuntamos hacia la paja en el ojo ajeno y fallamos en ver la viga en el nuestro. La respuesta de Jesús a los escribas y fariseos es clara en este relato: Aquel de ustedes que no tenga pecado, que le tire la primera piedra .

LA MISERICORDIA DE DIOS ES PARA TODOS

La mala noticia es que todos pecamos. La novedad es que la misericordia de Dios está disponible, siempre, todo el tiempo. Debemos arrepentirnos de nuestras fallas, y si nuestros pecados son graves, entonces debemos ir a confesarnos, recibir el Sacramento de la Reconciliación. El encuentro de Jesús con la mujer en el Evangelio de hoy, así como con las muchas personas a lo largo de su ministerio terrenal, representa una prueba de que Dios es misericordioso y compasivo. Al continuar el camino durante este tiempo de Cuaresma, nos haría bien tomar un descanso y reflexionar en nuestra relación con Cristo y en la misericordia infinita de Dios. FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT Jesus knew the scribes and Pharisees were trying to trap him. They put him in what seemed to be a no-win situation. Let the woman who was caught in adultery go, and he would have been accused of ignoring the law. Let her be stoned, and he would fail to show mercy toward her, contradicting his life s message. Jesus response teaches three crucial lessons: none of us is free of sin; we are not the ultimate judges of others; Jesus is the mercy of God, in whom we can always trust. In Christ, God does something new. When we give our hearts to Christ, we have the hope of new life, a life in which mercy reigns. NO ONE IS SINLESS Sin isn't a word we use very often in today s culture. Yet we must be honest and acknowledge that we sin. Otherwise, we become like people with a disease who are in denial of its implications--we cannot hope to be cured unless we admit that it exists. Sin is a disease of the soul, a dis-ease in our relationship with God. When we sin, we fail to live as we know God desires. The truth is, no one is sinless. We all fail. We may have moments of intense union with God and live as we know we ought. Yet we also have times when we miss the mark. Because we are human and know that we fail, it is easy to adopt a pattern of judgmental behavior. We point to the splinter in our neighbor s eye while failing to remove the plank from our own. Jesus response to the scribes and Pharisees is clear on this account. Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her. GOD S MERCY IS FOR EVERYONE The bad news is that we all sin. The good news is that God s mercy is available, always, at all times. We must be sorry for our failures and, if our sin is grave, take part in the sacrament of Reconciliation. Jesus encounter with the woman in today s Gospel, as with so many others in the course of his earthly ministry, stands as proof that God is merciful and forgiving. As we continue to journey through the season of Lent, it is good for us to pause and reflect--on our relationship with Christ and on God s infinite mercy. Na świecie ciągle zbyt wielu jest tych, którzy potępiają, a także zbyt wielu obojętnych i pobłażliwych. I wciąż za mało jest ludzi prawdziwie miłosiernych. Jeśli zajmujesz się sądzeniem innych, to znaczy, że zapominasz o tym, iż sam jesteś grzesznikiem. Zapomniałeś, że Jezus przychodzi nie do tych, którzy potępiają, ale do tych, którzy są grzeszni. Szkoda czasu i energii na porównywanie się z innymi, na sądzenie ich. A przede wszystkim szkoda nie skorzystać z łaski przebaczenia, którą Bóg każdego dnia chce nas obdarzać. O. P , (P 126,3) Liturgia słowa zachęca nas dzisiaj do rozważania bliskiej już Paschy pod kątem uwolnienia od grzechu. Chrystus wysłużył je raz na zawsze dla wszystkich, lecz uwolnienie to musi się dokonać jeszcze dla każdego człowieka, co więcej, musi się ciągle powtarzać i odnawiać, ponieważ ludzie przez całe życie są narażeni na upadki i nikt nie może uważać się za bezgrzesznego. Bóg uczynił kiedyś wiele cudów, by wyprowadzić naród wybrany z niewoli egipskiej, i obiecuje mu nowe, jeszcze większe, by go uwolnić z niewoli babilońskiej (I czytanie). „Oto Ja dokonuję rzeczy nowej... Otworzę drogę na pustyni, dostarczę rzek na pustkowiu, aby napoić mój lud wybrany” (Iz 43, 19-20). Proroctwo wznosząc się ponad historyczne koleje Izraela oświeca przyszłość mesjańską, kiedy Bóg dokona dla nowego Izraela — Kościoła — rzeczy całkiem nowych. Nie chodzi tu o sprawy materialne, lecz o Jego Jednorodzonego Syna, którego dał światu, aby był „drogą” zbawienia; nie o wodę orzeźwiającą spalone gardła, lecz o żywą wodę łaski płynącej z ofiary Chrystusa na oczyszczenie człowieka z grzechu i na zaspokojenie jego pragnienia nieskończoności. Te nową perspektywy ukazuje wyraziście zdarzenie ewangeliczne z kobietą cudzołożną, którą przyprowadzono do Jezusa, aby ją osądził. „Nauczycielu, niewiastę tę dopiero pochwycono na cudzołóstwie. W prawie Mojżesz nakazał nam takie kamienować. A Ty co mówisz?” (J 8, 4). Lecz Zbawiciel czyni coś zgoła nowego, czego stare prawo nie brało pod uwagę. Nie ogłasza wyroku, ale po chwili milczenia, pełnej napięcia wskutek wyczekiwania oskarżycieli i oskarżonej, odpowiada po prostu: „Kto z was jest bez grzechu, niech pierwszy rzuci na nią kamień” (tamże 7). Wszyscy ludzie są grzesznikami, nikt przeto nie ma prawa stawać się sędzią drugich. Ma je tylko jeden, Najniewinniejszy, Pan; lecz również i On nie korzysta z niego, ale posługuje się raczej swoją władzą Zbawiciela: „Nikt cię nie potępił?... i Ja ciebie nie potępiam. — Idź, a od tej chwili już nie grzesz” (tamże 10—11). Tylko Chrystus, który przyszedł oddać życie za zbawienie grzeszników, może uwolnić niewiastę od grzechu i powiedzieć jej: „Nie grzesz już”. Słowo Jego niesie z sobą łaskę płynącą z Jego ofiary. W sakramencie pokuty ponawia się dla każdego wierzącego gest uwalniający, jakim Chrystus udziela człowiekowi łaski, aby mógł walczyć z grzechem i „nie grzeszyć już”. Drugie czytanie pomaga pogłębić te rozważania. Św. Paweł, który poświęcił tradycje, kulturę, sposób życia wiążące go z własnym narodem, uważa te rzeczy „za śmieci, byleby pozyskał Chrystusa” (Flp 3, 8), i zachęca chrześcijan, aby dla tego samego celu wyrzekli się wszystkiego, co nie prowadzi do Pana, co Mu się sprzeciwia. Oto droga, aby uwolnić się całkowicie od grzechu i stopniowo stawać się podobnym do Chrystusa aż do „upodobnienia się do Jego śmierci, a potem także do Jego zmartwychwstania” (tamże 10, 11). Droga ta wymaga wciąż nowych zwycięstw i stałego wyzwalania się, by przylgnąć ściślej do Chrystusa. Nikt nie może myśleć, że „osiągnął metę”, lecz winien biec, „aby ją zdobyć”: by zdobyć Chrystusa, jak i sam został zdobyty przez Niego (tamże 12). Dzięki Ci zawsze i wszędzie, Panie, Ojcze święty, wszechmogący i wieczny Boże, przez Chrystusa naszego Pana. Zbliżają się dni Jego zbawczej męki i chwalebnego Zmartwychwstania. Dni, w których obchodzimy zwycięstwo Chrystusa nad złym duchem i misterium naszego odkupienia.

▪ Cały świat zbawiony przez mękę Twojego Syna może wychwalać Twoją wielkość. Przez krzyż objawia się sąd nad światem i potęga Chrystusa ukrzyżowanego (Mszał Polski: 2. prefacja o Męce Pańskiej).

▪ O mój Jezu, co uczyniłem! Jak mogłem opuścić Cię i wzgardzić Tobą? zapomnieć Twego imienia, podeptać Twoje prawo, przekroczyć przykazania? O Boże mój, Stworzycielu mój! Zbawicielu mój, życic i wszystko moje dobro! O ja nieszczęśliwy, nędzny; nieszczęśliwy, bo zgrzeszyłem... bo stałem się jak nierozumne zwierzę! Jezu mój, miłościwy pasterzu, słodki Mistrzu, przyjdź mi z pomocą, podnieś swoją upadłą owieczkę, wyciągnij rękę i podtrzymaj mnie, zgładź moje grzechy, ulecz rany, umocnij słabość, zbaw mnie, bo inaczej zginę. Wyznaję, że jestem niegodny żyć, niegodny światła, niegodny Twojej pomocy... jednak Twoje miłosierdzie jest niezmierzone; zlituj się nade mną, o Boże, co tak miłujesz ludzi! Moja jedyna nadziejo, zlituj się nade mną według wielkiego miłosierdzia Twego (bł. Ludwik Blozjusz).

1. Arrepintiéndote de tus peca-dos y confesándote.

Pensar en qué he ofendido a Dios, Nuestro Señor, si me duele haberlo ofendido, si realmente estoy arrepenti-do. Éste es un muy buen momento del año para llevar a cabo una confesión preparada y de corazón. Revisa los mandamientos de Dios y de la Iglesia para poder hacer una buena confe-sión. Ayúdate de un libro para estruc-turar tu confesión. Busca el tiempo para llevarla a cabo.

2. Luchando por cambiar.

Analiza tu conducta para conocer en qué estás fallando. Hazte propósitos para cumplir día con día y revisa en la noche si lo lograste. Re-cuerda no ponerte demasiados porque te va a ser muy difícil cumplirlos todos. Hay que subir las escaleras de un es-calón en un escalón, no se puede subir toda de un brinco. Conoce cuál es tu defecto dominante y haz un plan

3. Haciendo sacrificios. La palabra sacrificio viene del latín sacrum-facere, que significa "hacer sagrado". Entonces, hacer un sacrifi-cio es hacer una cosa sagrada, es decir, ofrecerla a Dios por amor. Ha-cer sacrificio es ofrecer a Dios, por-que lo amas, cosas que te cuestan trabajo. Por ejemplo, ser amable con el vecino que no te simpatiza o ayu-dar a otro en su trabajo. A cada uno de nosotros hay algo que nos cuesta trabajo hacer en la vida de todos los días. Si esto se lo ofrecemos a Dios por amor, estamos haciendo sacrificio.

4. Haciendo oración. Aprovecha estos días para orar, para platicar con Dios, para de-cirle que lo quieres y que quieres estar con Él. Te puedes ayudar de un buen libro de medi-tación para Cuaresma. Puedes leer en la Biblia pasajes rela-cionados con la Cuaresma
