Almighty and ever-living God, Who created us in Your image and called us to be saints, strengthen our resolve to do what is just, what is

good, what is right. Help us to grow in mercy so that our practice of forgiveness serves as an example to others and works to spread peace. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Next weekend: a collection for the St. Pius Enriched Living Facility for Retired

Priests. The Catholic Church on Long Island is blessed and privileged to be able to care for our senior priests. These men have dedicated their lives to serving God and our community. Our donations help them to live in a facility that meets their extra care needs while enabling them to serve as fully engaged members of the community. Please donate.

Father Piotr is grateful to all who helped make the recent summer bazaar a success. Thanks go to the volunteers who worked in the kitchen, in the ticket booth, or at a game

station. Thanks also go to the many people who attended the bazaar, our biggest church fundraiser. The event raised $15,050; $4,131 of that came from the kitchen, where the delicious food was prepared. Much gratitude goes to Bob Wisgo, the bazaar chairman, who worked tirelessly before and after the carnival. To everyone...job well done!

Helena Stawrowski Scripture Reflection: Stewardship is not optional. “None of us lives as his own master and none us dies as his own master,” says St. Paul. “While we live, we are responsible to the Lord, and when we die, we die as His

servants.”Living Stewardship: We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish whose giving-whether of alms or service– will be an expression of gratitude for what the Father has given them. Let us pray that as disciple stewards, whether in life or in death, we belong to God.
