WHY DO WE DO THAT? Are you a new Catholic? Are you an experienced Catholic who
wonders why we do some of the things we do? Why do we
choose a patron saint for confirmation? Why do we sing Latin
songs sometimes? Why does the priest do the dishes at Mass?
A new group is forming at St. Louis with the answers to those
questions and many more. The first meetings will focus on the Mass and why
each part of the Mass is there. We will meet on the second Monday of the month
at 7:00pm in the parish office. We will finish before 8:30pm. We would love to
see you at our first meeting on June 11th!
St. Louis Parish Directory Time slots are still available for anyone wanting to sign up for pictures

church directory, please drop off a photo to the parish office.

Steubenville Youth Conference June 15th-17th St. Louis Parish High School youth will again be join-
ing several other parishes in the Batesville Deanery
for the Steubenville Youth Conference. 150 partici-
pants will be taking 3 buses to the conference June
15-17, 2018. Help is greatly appreciated from all
parishioners to help make a difference in the life of
our youth.
Here’s how you can help:
Please pray for our youth. Pray for them to come to know our Lord and for a closer personal relationship with Him. Pray for
a safe trip to the Steubenville Conference and for their safe return.
Consider making a donation. If you would like to help send a high school youth from our parish to Steubenville, donations are accepted at the parish office. It
costs each participant and chaperone $300 for the conference, food, transpor-
tation, and t-shirt, which can be a hardship for some families.
Attend Mass with us. We will be celebrating Mass before heading off to the
Steubenville Conference. Mass will be at 7:00am on June 15th.
Make and bring a couple of sack lunches or travel friendly snacks (NUT FREE). Sometimes participants will be so excited about the trip and forget to
pack their lunch or snacks for the bus ride. We have a few youth who have se-
vere nut allergies, so we have asked all participants to pack nut free foods for
the trip. If you would like to donate a sack lunch or snack, please bring it to St.
Louis School between 6:30-7:00am on June 15th, or call Carrie at the parish
office to make arrangements.
