Adult Safe Environment Awareness Sessions Requirements
Safe Environment Certification for Adult Volunteers is required prior to serving in Ministry and must be renewed every two years. Initial or Renewal Safe Environment Certification currently requires attendance at a live and in person (“face-to-face”) Safe Environment Awareness Session (“Protecting God’s Children For Adults”) and requires a Virtus profile. See available awareness sessions: https://fwdioc.org/training-sessions. Please contact Kim Harbert with any questions: [email protected]. Youth Safe Environment (Teen Leader Training) requires in person training. Please contact the youth ministers. Called to Protect session is a prerequisite to apply for Teen Leader Training.
Our mission is to be a God-centered Catholic community of Faith which teaches, evangelizes, and ministers to the needs of God’s people.

CONTRIBUTIONS 2019
Please consider supporting our Bread of Life Ministry by providing personal care items, infant items, cleaning products,
and non-perishable food items for Denton County’s Friends of the Family. ADDITIONALLY, our friends at The Shepherd’s Hand Pantry, an important distribution point for Bread of Life, providing approximately 1300 meals monthly, are in need of sealable food baggies, primarily quart and gallon size. Please consider picking up an extra box or two the next time you go shopping. Place your donations in the Bread of Life drop box in the Narthex. Thank you for your help and continued support of our friends in need. Together we can help “Feed the Hungry”!
You are welcome to buy a brick for yourself or for someone else, to commemorate special occasions (such as the birth of a child, baptism, first communion,
confirmation, weddings, graduations, etc.), to write a Scripture passage or to honor or remember a loved one. This is a great way to be remembered and to commemorate special occasions! We would like to fill our courtyard with the names of our parishioners and loved ones. An engraved brick costs $100. Please visit St. Mark’s webpage www.stmarkdenton.org for a Brick Paver Order Form or stop by the parish office.
Come join the St. Mark 55+ Group on Friday, March 1 at 6:30 pm. in the Parish Hall (NE
of the Education Building) for a Potluck Dinner. Plan to bring your favorite main dish, side dish,
salad, fruit or dessert to share for dinner. Beverages will be provided unless you want something special. Be sure to bring your own serving utensils. 55+ is a great way to meet new people and visit with old friends. Plan to stay to play dominoes, cards, or bring your favorite board game. Contact Barry Landry at 972-824-9567 for additional information.
Lay Marianist - Come join our Marianist family for our monthly meeting on Thursday, March 7 in RE Building Room 107. Meeting will
start at 1:00 pm and conclude around 3:00 pm. The Marianist Affiliates’ mission is to recognize that Mary serves as an example on how to live. Through her faith, Mary conceived and brought Jesus to everyone who would believe. By living out our faith, we also bring Christ to the world anew. For more information, please contact Andy Gilliard at 940-323-8693.
