NOTES FROM PAUL
This week's reading from 2nd Corinthians starts with these lines:
“Brothers and sisters, rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and
the God of love and peace will be with you.”
No matter what your opinions are about what is happening in the world (Covid-19, protests, riots, changes in the
Church), please do what you can to live this out. The old law was an eye for an eye, but this is not what Christ
has called us to. I can’t tell you what “live in peace” will look like in your life, but I do think we should each
reflect on this if we want “the God of love and peace” to be with us in the end. I will continue to pray for our
parish family and our world. Please do the same.
God Bless you,
Paul Zbytowski
Pastoral Associate
YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS
Our next weekly Zoom Youth Group meeting will be held on Monday, June 8 at 7:30pm. If you are in Grade 9-12
and are interested in joining our call then please email Carol Nelius for the Zoom meeting ID and password. We
hope you will join us!
We are looking to start up community service events once the organizations we work with allow volunteers
between the ages of 14-18 to come into their facilities again with additional social distancing measures. As I get
more information. I will share it with all of you.
We miss everyone and hope to see everyone in person soon!

Queen’s Quotes from Religious Formation
June Greetings and Salutations,
Today is Holy Trinity Sunday, when we celebrate the power and relationship and power of relationship of God,
the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Gospel tells how much God loved humanity that he sent his
only Son to save us. God loves us that much. God is love. What does that mean to you?
At this time, I wanted to let all Religious families know that we are in the first stages of putting together a plan
for the Fall. Please keep us in your prayers that though Faith Formation may look a little different, we will be able
to accommodate our grade levels. With our dedicated team of Catechists, we will bring forth the Good News of
Christ.
Have a great weekend everyone and remember– enjoy the SONshine!
Peace and Prayers,
Sabrina Queen

MEMORARE

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that
anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy
intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto thee O Virgin of virgins, our
Mother. To thee do we come. Before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O
Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in your mercy
hear and answer us. Amen.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
As we celebrate the mystery of
the Trinity we also realize the
mystery of how much God loves and
cares for us each day. Believing in
this our lives can then overflow in
thanksgiving and praise.
We would like to thank our parish
family for your generous gifts to St.
Vincent de Paul. They have helped
us help our neighbors in need to
believe in the mystery of God’s love
for them.

Directives for Resumption of Public Masses
-Masses offered indoors will be limited in attendance. Only 200 parishioners will be allowed to enter St.
Mary, Cause of Our Joy for each mass. Once the limit is met, people will be asked to attend another mass.
-Cloth face coverings (masks) are to be worn by everyone approaching church and inside church (except for those
under 2 years old).
-Seating for the assembly: Mindful of the imposed allowed limitations and the physical layout of the church, our
parish will clearly designate where seating is permitted (such as seating people in alternating pews with a 2-pew
separation or seating in different sections for different Masses).
a. Those living in the same household may sit together without distancing
b. To the extent possible, those in line for Holy Communion should maintain a 6’ distance between each other and
those in the pews.
-Collection: Baskets will not be passed from person to person. Please drop offering in basket in baptismal font.
-Distribution of the Precious Blood to the faithful is suspended at this time, nor should the lay faithful receive by
intinction.
-Holy Water and Baptismal fonts remain empty.
THE DISPENSATION FROM THE SUNDAY OBLIGATION TO ATTEND MASS IS
GRANTED TO ALL THE FAITHFUL THROUGH SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2020
Those older than 65 years old (the recommended CDC age), with a compromised health condition or
caring for the sick in any way, are encouraged to stay home. Anyone who is ill, has a temperature,
cough, etc., should definitely stay home as an act of justice to the whole community. Clergy with a
respiratory infection of any kind should avoid celebrating public Masses or administering the
sacraments . The same applies to other ministers, e.g., deacons, lectors, ushers, etc. Although the faithful
are dispensed from their Sunday obligation to attend Mass, they must observe the Lord’s Day and are encouraged
to spend time in prayer on Sunday, meditating on the Lord’s passion, death, and resurrection (an excellent way to
do this is through participating in a broadcast of the Sunday Mass) or participating in a spiritual or corporal act of
mercy.
