ST. MARY MAGDALEN PARISH COVID-19 RESPONSE /

    REOPENING GUIDELINES

These guidelines have been put in place and will be enforced for the safety of all those attending Mass. As restrictions are added/lifted, we will react accordingly.

Guidelines to follow when attending Mass:

Enter through the front door. You must wear a mask & sanitize your hands upon entering.

Sit in an open pew. There are ropes on pews indicating which ones are closed to ensure proper social distancing. You may sit on either side of the pews that are open. There is blue tape in the middle of open pews indicating what 6 feet of social distancing looks like.

Communion will continue to be at the end of mass. We ask that you remain in your seat until an usher dismisses your pew for communion. Those sitting in the larger center pews, proceed to communion as usual up the center aisle once dismissed. After distributing communion to the center aisle, the Eucharistic Ministers will move to the outlining areas for distribution. Once dismissed by an usher, you will go up your aisle to receive communion, then depart. The arrows on the floor have been updated to reflect this change.

After receiving communion, you are to leave church. No gathering is allowed. Exit through the side doors indicated.

On weekends, worship aides & bulletins are available online; only bulletins as you enter, & at the side exits.

  • Dear Fellow Parishioners, I extend my warmest Christmas greetings to all of you and to your loved ones. It is a special and holy time of year – a time of happiness and delight. And so, I wish you great joy not only during this special season but throughout the New Year as well. May you be blessed and touched by the love of the Christ Child Himself. I want to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” for all that you do to make Saint Mary Magdalen the wonderful parish that it is. Thank you also for your ongoing support and enthusiasm especially during these trying and uncertain times. Even though the pandemic is looming large, I encourage you to allow the mystery and magic of this Holy Season to touch your hearts. Let us all strive to allow the newborn King to bring us not only “tidings of great joy” but also healing and renewed hope. As we enter the Season of Christmas please be assured of my prayers for you that God will enrich your lives with an abundance of His grace. I offer special prayers for those who are struggling with loss and grief, may God grant you the gift of His consolation.

With best wishes for a grace-filled Christmas, Father Kirk

The Division of Public Health (DPH) approved our plan allowing our maximum capacity to be 150 people at Mass effective 12/5/20 and we

    will remain at this number.

Due to COVID, we will not have angels at the altar for you to add. Instead, we invite you to use the one below. Cut it out, add the name of a loved one(s) no longer with us & place in the basket at church. Ushers will hang them on the tree between masses. You can also mail them into the office.

    REMEMBRANCE ANGELS & TREE

We have the Remembrance Angels & tree up again this Advent season. Our 2nd graders from SMM School & our PREP program have put together the angels with the names of those parishioners that died this year.

Letters were sent to those families inviting them to see the tree in the church, to let them know we remember them and their loved ones, and that we are praying for them all this Advent season.

Please join us in praying for all our Remembrance Angels this Advent.
