BAPTISM - (English) Registration begins with an
interview of the child’s parent. Parents must call office to make an appointment. Parent meeting as well as pre-baptismal class for parents and godparents is not optional. If Parent or Godparent(s) have baptized in the last 12 months from the date of intended baptism, proof must be provided (where and when class was taken); a letter or card from the parish. It is a Church requirement that at least one Godparent has the Sacrament of Confirmation. It is the expectation that Godparents are practicing Catholics.

MAY 22: FEAST OF SAINT RITA OF CASCIA
Our parish will celebrate the feast of this Augustinian
Saint on Tuesday May 22 at 12 noon (English) and
6:30 PM. (Spanish). Roses will be blessed and
distributed at both Masses. Rita was a wife,
mother, widow, and religious – a woman who
preached and lived the message of non-violence in a
very violent world.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the “impossible?”
Exams and Homework
Too much work and not enough time
Your future in your job
Too many bills and not enough money
Worries about your children
The World Situation – Climate change, Economy, War
What are your “impossible” situations?
How do you deal with them? Do you worry?
Work harder? Want to run away?
Maybe these situations are times for us to turn to God in
prayer. Yes, we must do our part; however turning to God
in prayer can help. It may not easily resolve the problem.
But it may give us peace in our minds and hearts so that
we can face the situation with calm. It may also give us a
new perspective as we may come to know what is God’s
will in this situation.
Saint Rita is invoked as the “Saint of the Impossible”
because of the way in which she met with the many
difficulties and crosses of her life and times. She turned to
God in prayer and turned these impossible situations into
instruments of growth in holiness before God.

¿Cuáles son tus situaciones “imposibles”?
¿Cómo te enfrentas con ellas? ¿Te preocupas?
¿Trabajas más? ¿Deseas escapar?
Quizás estas situaciones son oportunidades para recurrir a
Dios en oración. Sí, tenemos que poner de nuestra parte.
Sin embargo, la oración nos puede ayudar. El problema no
se resolverá fácilmente. Nos dará la paz en nuestras
mentes y corazones para enfrentar la situación con calma.
Nos ofrecerá una perspectiva nueva para que aprendamos
la voluntad de Dios para nosotros en esta situación.
Se invoca a Santa Rita como la “Santa de lo Imposible” por
la manera que ella se enfrentó con las muchas dificultades y
las cruces de su vida y su tiempo. Recurrió a Dios en
oración y estas situaciones imposibles se convirtieron en
oportunidades para crecer en santidad ante Dios.

expand Access to abortion, including late term abortions,
eliminate the requirement that a minor under the age of 18
have consent of a parent or guardian, eliminate medical
care for a child who survives an abortion attempt.
