LEFT and RETURNED
Some Bible readers assume that the Spirit’s activity
in Scripture is limited to the New Testament. But
actually He is also very active in the Old Testament.
In Genesis 1:1-2, we read, “In the beginning, God
created the heavens and the earth. The earth was
without form and void, and darkness was over the face
of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over
the face of the waters.”
The Old Testament proves that the Spirit of God came
upon certain judges, warriors, and prophets in a way
that gave them extraordinary power: for example,
Joshua (Num. 27:18), Othniel (Judg. 3:10), Gideon
(6:34), Samson (13:25; 14:6), and Saul (1 Sam. 10:9,
10). However, the Spirit later departed from Saul
because of his disobedience (16:14). Yes, the Spirit of
God was with His people always, but when the chosen
people disobeyed, it LEFT them.
David declared that “the Spirit of the Lord spoke
through me, and His word was on my tongue” (2
Sam. 23:2). Likewise, Ezekiel reported that “the Spirit
entered me when He spoke to me” (Ezek. 2:2). So, it
is certain that the Spirit of God is with the Chosen
People. But, at the same time, when they sinned; when
they disobeyed, The Spirit LEFT them.
Jesus promised to his disciples that the father would
send the Holy Spirit once he leaves. As for the promise,
the HOLY SPIRIT descents on His disciples. It is
Pentecost.
The spirit of God always remains with chosen people
enabling them with extraordinary power. "Are not all
these people who are speaking Galileans? Then how
does each of us hear them in his native language? The
Holy Spirit is always working. It always descents on
people who are righteous and good. But when people
disobey, the Holy Spirit leaves them. When they
repent, the Holy Spirit returns to them.
I left and I am happy to return. As the Holy Spirit
strengthened the disciples, I am here to strengthen you
all.
Left and Returned.

Flaws: Legalizing Assisted Death and The Euthanasia Deception. A thought-provoking presentation on one
of the most fundamental philosophical questions of our time: should we be giving doctors the right in law to
end the life of others by euthanasia or assisted suicide? Filmmaker Kevin Dun uses powerful testimonies and
expert opinion from both side of the issue to uncover how these highly disputed laws affect society over
time. This talk is about the adoption of--and resistance to--a new cultural philosophy that may affect you and
your loved ones at the most vulnerable time of your life. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 7:00 PM. at St.
