Ron and Sheila Baldwin; Coral Ray; Annie Cooper;

Events and institutions: For the next Christianity Explored course and its attendees; for

Brownies, Rainbows and Guides meeting at St Mary’s on Thursdays.

▪ Christianity Explored is a three-part course,

taking place over three short sessions on

Saturday mornings (on the 30th Sept, 7th Oct

and 14th Oct). The sessions are timed so as not

to take up too much of your Saturday: running

from 8.45-10.00am. A breakfast of bacon

sandwiches or vegetarian alternative is

provided!

▪ The course takes place at St Mary’s Bransgore

▪ The course explores the life and claims of Jesus

Christ, drawing mainly upon Mark’s Gospel, the

earliest eyewitness account of his life. We’ll be

thinking about the big questions about Jesus:

who is he? why did he come? what does it mean

to follow him?

▪ Nothing is assumed. You won’t be asked to pray,

read out loud or sing. Any question is welcome

and we’ll do our best to answer it.

▪ A Christianity Explored session starts with food,

then has a presentation or Q&A, followed by a

short film and some discussion questions. You

can be as vocal as you like in the discussion, or

just sit and listen to what others have to say.

▪ Feel free to come just to the first session and see

if it’s for you.

Calling all First-Aiders! We’re looking to find out who amongst us has up-to-date first aid training, so as to be able to know who to call on if there’s an emergency during a service. If you think this is you, please speak to James Tazzyman.

You are warmly invited to come to the Patronal Festival Evensong at St Michael’s Hinton today (Sunday the 24th September) at 6.30pm. Guest preacher, Revd Darrol Reagan.

We’ve been asked to help with the school bonfire night on Friday 3rd Nov at the Three Tuns by providing a team of strong people to manage the big bonfire (yes, what a great job!). If you’d like to help, speak to Ben or James.

Brass cleaners needed!!! I have recently taken over the brass cleaning rota which Mrs Sheila Waldron has done for many years, but has had to give up due to ill health (thank you Sheila and we wish you well) I have contacted previous helpers who have kindly agreed to help but still have 3 months to cover Dec, Jan, Feb. It involves at the most one hours work once a year. Cloths gloves and Brasso are provided. If you feel able to help please contact me (Maggie Webb on 01425672608 or email [email protected] ) Many thanks, Maggie
