Different Countries for Bears
Reception class has had a great time looking at the different countries where you can find bears. They have enjoyed making split pin bears and going on a bear hunt with their parents and even
having a teddy bears picnic.

Italy
The children made an aeroplane and airport then enjoyed role-playing travelling to Italy - stopping off at the Tower of Pisa, Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum.
The children made Italian pizza to share with their parents.

USA
Year 1 and 2 have been learning about the USA through the ages. They have studied the Native
Americans through to present day, finding out about famous landmarks and people along the way.
The children made dream catchers…

…and totem poles.

Mrs Brearley & Mrs Pearson’s class have been reading a traditional tale “Tiger Child” as well as learning about famous landmarks, Bollywood dancing and tasting Indian food.

Year 3 have been busy making T-Shirts inspired by Coco Chanel and hats from newspaper.
A Bistro Magnifique was prepared to share with parents - breads, pate and champagne! (sparkling apple juice)
The children also constructed the Eiffel Tower from pasta and marshmallows!

Brazil
Year 4 have been learning about the history of Brazil. They invited parents to play a game beach volleyball and football.
In addition, masks were made for a Rio carnival.

Caribbean
Year 5 have been studying the Caribbean Islands including the extreme hurricane weather. They invited parents to a beach party, made fruit kebabs and took part in some salsa dancing.

The children in year 6 have been studying Kenyan artist Gakonga.
They have created art with their parents using pastels and charcoal.
