Psalm 51:1-13

MARK 1:1-11

 When they were approaching Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples and said to them, "Go into the village ahead of you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find tied there a colt that has never been ridden; untie it and bring it.

SERMON

Opening Prayer: Lord, open my heart that I may speak your truth. Open our ears so that we hear your truth. And guide our spirits so that we can take that truth to the world. By your power, and through your grace, Amen

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ , his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary . He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Parish Prayer: Gracious God, we thank you for St. Matthew parish in Regina. We remember the many souls who contributed to the ministry and have now gone to greater service. We ask for your blessing upon the many members who continue to offer themselves in the ministry as well as those who will yet enter into the fellowship of this congregation. May your word and sacrament be present in this community for the furthering of your kingdom! This we pray in the name of your son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.  AMEN
