Two Ways to Make Holiday Shopping Benefit St. Mike’s Foundation
Did you know that if you link St. Mike’s Foundation as your preferred charity on your Smith’s rewards card and your AmazonSmile account, Smith's and Am-azon will donate .5% of every eligible purchase you make to St. Mike’s Founda-tion!
Just go to SmithsFoodandDrug.com/Inspire and choose St. Mike’s Foundation as your charity of choice. Then every time you shop Smith’s Food and Drug, St. Mike’s Foundation will benefit!
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping fea-tures as on Amazon.com. The differ-ence is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organizations selected by customers.
On your first visit to AmazonSmile smile.amazon.com, you need to select St. Michael’s High School Foundation to receive donations from eligible pur-chases before you begin shopping. Then every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation.
It’s the gift that keeps on giving all year long.
Thank you for remembering

2017 Fall Appeal
St. Michael's High School has shaped so many of the leaders of our community, its contribution to our society is incalculable.
As the oldest educational institution in New Mexico, St Mike’s is an historic and important part of Santa Fe’s educational landscape. Since 1859 St. Mike’s has shaped a diverse population of leaders with Lasallian values that have contributed significantly to the foundation and fabric of our community. A few of those leaders in our community today, are Congresswoman Michelle Lujan-Grisham and Father Adam Ortega y Ortiz, Rector of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.
Your support will help shape tomorrow’s diverse leaders for our community. Your gift is essential to securing a solid foundation and enriching the fabric of our society. Donate to St. Mike’s Foundation securely on-line at
http://stmikesfoundation.org/give/ or call 505/988-2264.
Maida Esquibel, President
A Note from the President
In this, my 25th anniversary year as a Priest, I wanted to tell you about the Father Adam Tuition Assistance Fund at St. Michael’s High School Foundation. In gratitude for pastoring 12 years at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community in Santa Fe, friends of mine founded this fund to help active Catholic students with economic need. I was blessed to have benefited from tuition assistance while at St. Mike’s, and would like to help pay it forward now. Please con-sider joining me in supporting this tuition assistance award fund with your generous donation. If we can build the fund up to a $50,000 endowed fund, we’ll be able to fund two $1,250 awards each year in perpetuity, to one boy and one girl who demonstrate an active Catholic faith and a financial need. As the current Pastor of Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis and Cristo Rey parishes, and an active St. Mike’s community member, please help me celebrate my ministry in the community with your gift today and give securely online at stmikesfoundation.org/give or call 505/988-2264. Many blessings to you, and many thanks too, for your consideration of this request.
Rev. Adam Lee Ortega y Ortiz, Class of ‘83
Meet class of ‘55 St. Mike’s Alum, Ed Gonzales, and his wife Pat, class of ’58 Loretto Academy Alum, who are gener-ous monthly donors to St. Mike’s Foundation, each donat-ing to their own funds.
Ed donates to the Class of ‘55 fund and Pat donates to the Loretto Academy fund.
When asked why they are
monthly givers to St. Mike’s Foundation, they said “we get a warm feeling when we do-nate to St. Mike’s Foundation, remembering when our chil-dren were students at the school. When we attend activ-ities at the school and see the students that we may have helped with our donation, we get the warm feeling that we are still part of the school.”
Thank you Pat and Ed Gon-zales for generously helping others to be a part of the St. Mike’s Family!
You too can become a monthly donor by going to stmikesfoundation.org/give and securely making your gift online, or calling (505)988-2264.
