Similarities
-Decorate the house and the Christmas Tree.
-Celebrate the Advent-Sundays.
-We like Weihnachtsmann/Julenissen
-Celebrate Christmas-Eve (24th December). (getting the presents on 24th December).
Differences
-German people celebrate the Nikolaus Day (on 6th December). The children put out their shoes and St. Nikolaus puts candies in their shoes.
-Norwegian people hang out red socks.
-In Norway we eat porridge with one almond for the lucky person who gets it.
-German people prefer turkey or fondue at Christmas Eve, Norwegian people eat lamb or rib.
