Exciting week of fun and really great music here at Nighttown.

On Friday, join us for a full day of Irish fun at Nighttown as we celebrate StPatrick's Day. Join us for corned beef and Nighttown's other famous Irishdishes, while The New Barleycorn kicks up the music. As of this writing,there is still seating in the Music Room for our lunch celebration at 1:30PM. But join us all day long throughout Nighttown as we celebrate all thingsIrish.

On Monday, one of the greatest big band arrangers and trombonists, JohnFedchock, joins with the Paul Ferguson Quintet for some bold and exciting renditions of theirrespective arrangements.

Then get ready for the return from Brazil of Diego Figueiredo onThursday. Diego is back to tour the USA with a stop at Nighttown. Diegohas built a huge following here in Cleveland and audiences can't getenough of him.

One of our other Nighttown regulars, Chuchito Valdes from Cuba, comesback for a two-night engagement next Friday and Saturday. Chuchito issuper exciting and will give Nighttown's Yamaha piano a good work-out.

Nighttown Tickets and Seating Policy

To purchase tickets click here, Do not make anadditional table reservation - it is already included withyour purchased tickets. All seats are General Admission. All seating is based on the time that you arrive for theshow and based on how many people are in your partyand where we have tables of that size. You may besharing a table with other people.

Nighttown Student Discount PolicyStudents up to age 26 are 1/2 off the regular price. Student priced tickets are only available the night of theshow, are available only at the door, and are subject toavailability. Students must have a photo ID from agenerally-recognized high school, college or university. Full-paying ticket holders get priority on admission andseating. Certain select shows have no discount based onarrangements with the artist. On evenings when thereare two shows (i.e. shows at 7 & 9PM), the discount isonly good for the second show. Students under the age of18 must be accompanied by an adult paying full price inorder to be eligible for the discount.

Both Alec and John were born and raised in Ireland in counties Dublin and Down wherethey learned to play music at an early age, they have both performed professionally sincetheir teenage years both enjoying considerable success with their respective careers.

John Delaney a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Irish group 'Barleycorn',joined forces with Alec DeGabriele nine years ago to form 'The New Barleycorn', after theother finished a 24 year run ending in 1995. John plays, 5 string and tenor banjos,mandolin, guitar, whistle and bodhran. He also has played banjo on many other Irishartists' recordings.

Alec DeGabriele spent his formative years learning the business of music, theatre andentertaining with his families traveling theatrical show, 'The Shannon Players', which waswell known and highly regarded throughout Ireland. Alec plays guitar and bass and wasthe band leader with a top Irish Show Band for some years before deciding to come to livein the U.S.A.

John Fedchocks illustrious career in jazz has spanned over three decades. Since hisemergence on the scene in 1980, Fedchock has established himself as a world-classtrombone soloist, a heralded bandleader, and a Grammy-nominated arranger. An in-demand performer and writer in New York City, his multifaceted talents have led him tobecome one of NYCs premier jazz artists. His critically acclaimed John Fedchock New YorkBig Band has become a marquee group, showcasing Fedchocks trombone and arrangingas well as the bands all-star soloists. The JFNYBBs five CDs on the MAMA and ReservoirMusic labels have all received high praise from critics and extraordinary success onnational jazz radio charts. The early success of the band resulted in Fedchocks nameappearing in DOWNBEATs Readers Poll under the categories of Trombone, Arranger andBig Band, simultaneously for several consecutive years.

In recognition of his formidable arranging skills, Fedchock is a two-time GRAMMY Awardnominee for Best Instrumental Arrangement. The JFNYBBs recordings have appeared injazz radios Top Ten, and the New York Times has applauded the bands CheerfulSyncopation, Served With Spit-and-Polish Precision. Paul Ferguson is Artistic Director of the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. He has performed andarranged music for the group since 1988. A graduate of the Eastman school, Paul hastoured extensively with the Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey Orchestras. A versatilemusician, Paul has performed with Apollo's Fire, The Cleveland Orchestra, The ClevelandPops, numerous broadway shows, and has backed Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughn, AndyWilliams, Mel Torme and many others. His arrangements for pops orchestra and jazzensemble are performed internationally.

Diego Figueiredo (pronounced fig-a-ray-doe) is considered one of the most talentedguitar players in the world today. He is the winner of several importantcompetitions including the Montreux Jazz Competition and the VISA Prize. Diego hasreleased over nineteen albums to date, three DVDs, and several instructionalbooks. His music is a fusion between Jazz, Bossa Nova and Classical. Diegos uniqueinterpretations, along with his phenomenal technique and emotion, has created anexplosion of adoring fans and concert goers. Diego has performed in over fortycountries around the world.

Diego Figueiredo was born in Franca, Brazil in 1980. At the age of four he used tostrike poses carrying his small guitar. At six, he received a mandolin, which was

Diego played many instruments beforechoosing the electric guitar when he was twelve. He has playedand shared the stage with Hermeto Pascoal, Larry Coryell, Geraldo Azevedo,Sebastio Tapajs, Demnios da Garoa, Vanusa, Renato Borghetti, OsvaldoMontenegro, Jair Rodrigues, Elomar, Toquinho, Tunai, Paulinho da Viola, NandoCordel, Moraes Moreira, Faf de Belm, Amelinha, Los Hermanos, Zeca Baleiro,Miyazawa and others.

With a variety of works already released, Diego is doing shows on the mostimportant stages around the world enchanting and charming the public whereverhe goes with his unique touch.
