THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK The Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated Saturday, September 2nd, after the 8:30 AM Mass. Generation Men’s Summit Saturday, August 26

Join some of the leading Catholic male leaders in the United States that are gathering for a men’s summit at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Saturday, August 26 for a men’s summit aimed at better-equipping men to live out their faith and model it for future generations. More than just “man-up” talks and motivational speakers, this conference is a true workshop aimed at men of all ages and all states of life. Fathers are welcome to bring their high school-aged sons, too. The registration fee is $25 per person and includes a boxed lunch. Young Adult Bible Study Resumes Monday, September 11

After taking off the month of July to participate in the diocesan Café Catholica events, St. Paul’s young adult Bible study resumes its Monday evening gatherings next week on September 11, from 7-8:30 PM. All young adults between the ages of 18-35 are welcome. We gather for dinner and discussion on the book of Matthew. That week we look at chapter 17. Contact hclark@stpaulcatholic.org.

Silver Linings Update Silver Linings members have decided to take off the months of July and August to accommodate summer travel plans. The group’s next get-together is scheduled for Monday, September 11, at 1 PM in room 10.

Young Adults & Relationships The archdiocese is inviting young adults to participate in a six-month discernment series focused on relationships. Entitled "Discovering Love with Clarity," the series is meant to help young adults discern where they are being called in life--whether it's marriage, religious life, or to the single life. The program dates are September 20, October 18, November 15, January 17, February 21, and March 21. It is open to young singles, dating and engaged couples. The cost is $5 per person and you can register at www.archgh.org/yacm.

Men’s Retreat Registrations The next men’s ACTS retreat in English is scheduled for October 5-8. There is no better way to grow in understanding, gain community, find a place to serve, and recommit to living out your faith on a daily basis than by attending an ACTS retreat. Bereavement Workshop Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center is offering a day of reflection for those who are looking for companionship on their bereavement journey. The program is set for Wednesday, September 13, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. and features a variety of speakers who’ve experienced widow-hood, the loss of a child, and suicide of a loved one. Our festival is the largest fundraiser of the year and a big source of income for our church. Join this community effort to raise funds, allowing our parish to provide both physical and spiritual support to members of our community.

1 - Ask places you frequent for donations (i.e. your company, your suppliers, doctors, stylist, restaurants, etc.). Donations are to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. No donation is too big or too small and most donations are tax deductible.

The 2017 Wedding Anniversary Jubilee Mass The 2017 Wedding Anniversary Jubilee Mass honoring couples celebrating their Silver (25th) Anniversary of marriage in the Catholic Church will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart at 3 PM.

The 50th Anniversary will be on October 24th, 2017 at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart at 3 PM.

Whether or not a couple attends the ceremony, they are eligible to receive a special recognition.

Registration will close on September 15, 2017, for the 25th and October 15th, 2017, for the 50th. However, you may attend the special Mass and register at the entrance of the Co-Cathedral. Reserved seating will be limited. Should you arrive when the reserved space is taken, please seat anywhere else in the church. Each couple will be able to bring a maximum of 6 family members or friends to the Mass.

If you register on that day, acknowledgements of your anniversary will be mailed after verification of your sacramental marriage is confirmed.
