Propagation of the Faith Today is World Mission Sunday – a day that leads us to the heart of our Christian faith-leads us to mission! Your generosity on World Mission Sunday supports the work of priests, religious and lay leaders in the Missions who share our faith with those most in need. This year we can even “chat” with our chief missionary, Pope Francis, and learn
more about his missions and missionaries. Learn more at ChatWithThePope.org. Chat – Pray - Give this World Mission Sunday.

The suggested donations are: Masses: $5 per intention; up to three are permitted at each Mass, except those offered for the People of the Parish; the intention is printed in the bulletin. One of the Corporal Works of Mercy is to bury the dead, which includes having Masses offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased. Masses can also be offered many reasons, including for the health of someone who is ill, to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or for a personal intention. Flowers: $50 for the standard floral arrangement (specific requests can be handled at an additional cost paid directly to the florist); intention and the name of the donor are printed in the bulletin. There are special collections for Christmas and Easter flowers as well as for Fathers’ and Mothers’ Day. Eso significa que los jueves, Noviembre 9 y 16, no habrá Misa a las 8:30 AM ni confesiones a las 5:30 PM.

Ministry and Continuing Education for Adults Because Our Faith is too Rich to have ever Learned it All…
Contact Heidi Clark, Director of Adult Ministry, 281.333.3891, Ext. 328 or [email protected] for more information.
Adult faith formation at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church is centered around the understanding that living
“The Way” taught by Jesus Christ is a life-long, evolving journey, involving both effort and decision. To enable adults to explore the
faith and deepen their knowledge of God’s Word, we provide many opportunities to come together in a learning environment. As a
diverse community with a small parish feel, we know it is important to walk that journey with others and to share what we have
learned along the way.
Make your Good Marriage a Great Marriage! Teams of Our Lady
Information Night Teams of Our Lady is an international Catholic lay movement that fosters couple spirituality and a richer family life. A team is made up of five to seven couples whose marriages are recognized by the Catholic Church. They meet monthly, rotating between couples’ houses, to share a meal, prayer, and discussion. The first step to joining is attending an information meeting. The next one is set for Sunday evening, November 5, from 6:30-7:30 PM, in the Conference Room at St. Paul. Contact Heidi Clark at [email protected] or 281.333,3891, ext. 328 for more information. Child care is $5/child and can be arranged if reservations are made by Tuesday, October 31.
Bible Study for Seniors It’s not too late to join the Great Adventure Bible Study for older adults; this DVD-based study being led by Director of Adult Ministry Heidi Clark, began last week but is done in such a way that it’s perfectly okay to just drop in at any time. The group meets Thursday afternoons from 12:30 to 2 PM. There’s no charge to join but if you’d like to purchase a set of the study materials, the cost is $35.
Weekly Zumba Classes Join us for fun, energizing Zumba classes. They take place in Founders Hall at 9:30 AM on Saturdays. $5 donations help support adult ministry programs. All are welcome! For details, contact [email protected].

Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting so… get on your way! Dr. Seuss
We are more than half way through October and what a busy month so far.
We really enjoyed the Nassau Bay Fire Department visiting us on the 9th and 10th. They brought goody bags and hats for each child in the program, while allowing them to climb on the fire truck.
Our favorite part of October, Critter Carnival, will be in Founders Hall this year. The children dress up in costumes and we set up games and other activities for them to enjoy.
Do you like pizza? Back by popular demand, we are once again selling Little Caesar’s
pizza kits. These kits are awesome to have over the holidays. They taste amazing and the children have a good time on “make your own pizza” night. Look for them on sale in the Narthex. Coming soon!
Please come by and visit the ECP’s Snack Booth at The Out of This World Festival, Sunday, October 29. Don’t forget to sign up this week for the 5K Run,
Saturday, October 28 at 7 AM. Strollers are welcomed.

What’s the BIG IDEA now?
HOW DO WE GET TO KNOW
AND LOVE JESUS CHRIST?
ESSENTIAL QUESTION OF THE WEEK: How did the
Saints come to know and love Jesus Christ?
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT OF YOUR CHILD… Children in THIRD GRADE begin to see prayer as not entirely centered on the self. They can pray for broad concerns and see connection between events. They enjoy ceremonies, rituals and symbolism as well as quiet and reflecting for short periods of time. They are capable of taking relatively complex prayers to heart. They respond to a sense of belonging.

¿Cuál es GRAN IDEA?
¿CÓMO PODEMOS LLEGAR A CONOCER Y AMAR A JESUCRISTO?
