DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY DOMINGO DE LA DIVINA MISERICORDIA

Today at 3:00pm we will host the Deanery celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday. The bilingual service will include Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Please join us in this special event which is part of our Archdiocesan program for the Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Presider Jesus told St. Faustina:

I desire the Feast of Mercy be a shelter for all souls, especially poor sinners, No Matter How Great the Sins. On that day I pour out a whole

ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My Mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall

obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.

Special Thanks (Muchísimas Gracias) Our celebrations of Holy Week were made even more wonderful by the beauty of our Church. Thanks to everyone who donated toward the purchase of flowers and to all

those volunteers whose efforts on a daily basis during Holy Week cannot be overlooked. We would like to thank Rosalie Daves and Sally Wrobleski who in January stepped down from our Art & Environment Committee after many years of untiring service. We are currently restructuring the Art & Environment Committee and will shortly be announcing the date of a meeting for anyone who might be interested in the serving in this important ministry in the future. We will also have a meeting for anyone who would be interested in assisting in the cleaning of the Altar Linens.

SILVER LININGS BIBLE STUDY The next meeting of the Silver Linings Bible Study Group will be Thursday, May 12th, 1:00-2:30pm, in Rooms 10/11.

Adult Ministry and Faith formation: Because Our Faith is too rich and beautiful to have ever learned it ALL…

Contact Heidi Clark, Director of Adult Ministry, 281.333.3891, Ext. 328 or [email protected]

Adult faith formation at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church is centered around the understanding that living “The Way” taught by Jesus Christ is a life-long, evolving journey, involving both effort and decision. To enable adults to explore the faith and deepen their knowledge of God’s Word, we provide many opportunities to come together in a learning environment. As a diverse community with a small parish feel, we know it is important to walk that journey with others and to share what we have learned along the way.

Interested in being Catholic? If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about becoming Catholic, our RCIA program is just the ticket! The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is a process of prayer, reflection, and learning that allows for the continual discernment of God's will. Contact Heidi Clark, 281-333-3891 or [email protected]

So far we’ve sacrificed, abstained, fasted and renewed ourselves thru Lent. Then, we sprung forth into a glorious Easter (the most important time of the year) by celebrating the rising of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Well the celebration continues! It is time to celebrate the MINISTRY FAIR Booth Winner! This was the MOST DIFFICULT to judge because all the groups did wonderful. Each booth was unique and special. Drum Roll Please… The Marianas take the GOLD ($100) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Marianas' booth provided a very informative poster that listed their mission statement, the days they meet, activities they do, and the benefits for being in the Marianas. This entire information was also on flyers that the team passed out to interested parishioners. Their trifold was a display of photos reflecting what they stand for and the works they do. The booth provided Our Lady of Guadalupe bookmarkers for people to take and they had many items that symbolized their group (pink table cloth and a box with pink heeled shoes because it is a group for women, a Bible because they practice living out the Scriptures, the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe because they are a Marian group, etc.). The entire team even wore pink scarves to make sure people recognized that they are part of the Marianas.
