Dear Parents and Carers,

I was amazed and impressed by Year 4’s assembly this morning. They worked as a team to put on a performance to show us what they have been learning this term in literacy, science, RE and topic. We all enjoyed the granny

rap poem and the Iron Man song as well as the lively diary writing read by Abir and Abdullah. The Year 4 violin

and cello group played for us too, which was a treat. Well done Year 4!

This afternoon the children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 watched the Road Safety Magic Show. This

entertained them as well as teaching them about road safety.

There will be an Online Safety Day at SPSL on Tuesday 27th February. The day will start with a meeting for

parents at 9am in the hall. The meeting will be led by Mary Rebelo, who is an online safety expert. After that

she will lead sessions for each class and then a staff meeting at the end of the day. Please put this date in your

diary and try to attend the parents’ meeting. It will be an important opportunity for you to learn more about how

to ensure that your child is safe online.

Best wishes
